Can-Am Commander

Category-Leading Performance
Available in a 71-hp Rotax 800R or 82-hp Rotax 1000 liquid-cooled V-Twin engines, with four valves per cylinder and single overhead camshafts. Both feature twin fuel injectors that supply efficient fuel delivery into the combustion chamber for powerful, yet precise performance.

Better Throttle Control
This electronic throttle-by-wire system works in conjunction with the 2.13 in. Bosch8 throttle body to produce smooth delivery, even if the driver’s foot is bouncing due to rough terrain. The iTC system detects unwanted bounces and filters the input. Comes with a progressive and sport mode.

Standout Performance
Provides optimal power-to-weight ratio and acceleration, offering you a ride that delivers every bit of the standout performance you would expect from Can-Am.

Strong Power Output
This package provides a more powerful magneto with 625 W of power output.

Largest in the Industry
The industry’s largest fuel tank lets you ride longer and work harder. With a capacity that’s 11% more than its nearest competitor, the 10-gal gas tank supplies maximum range for work and play.

Can-Am Commander

Eliminates Scrub and Camber Changes
The only independent rear suspension that eliminates scrub and camber changes, meaning the wheels pivot up and down rather than in a butterfly motion. This ensures the vehicle moves only in the direction you point it. Reconfigured for improved traction and optimal transfer of power to the ground.

Better Steering Feel
The Can-Am Commander’s Double A-arm front suspension is designed with dive-control geometry that works to eliminate diving under heavy breaking and rough terrain. The front end features 10 in of travel and five-way preload-adjustable motion-control shocks.

Better Control
Exclusive to Can-Am, Visco-Lok is a progressively and automatically locking front differential system. The system intelligently transfers power from a slipping front wheel to the opposing wheel with traction. No buttons to push or levers to pull. Get progressive lock-up with no rev or speed limiter.

Great Traction and Control
Purpose-built, six-ply Carlisle Black Rock tires mounted on 12-in black wheels provide great traction and control in a wide variety of conditions.

Superior Stopping Power
Outboard disc brakes with 214-mm discs and twin-piston calipers. Large 214-mm outboard hydraulic disc brakes feature twin-piston calipers to provide superb stopping power.

For Maximum Performance
For maximum performance in challenging terrain, the Commander has 11-in of ground clearance. With 11 total inches of ground clearance, the Commander can tackle brutal conditions and challenging terrain.

Can-Am Commander

Exclusive and Versatile
The industry’s most versatile and usable cargo box design has a 600-lb cargo capacity, dual storage levels, anti-rust box, and tilt-assist dumping. Cargo box with two levels separated by a removable, water-resistant panel, that offers an upper and lower bed with their independent tailgate.

No Tools Required
Premium seating with a full backrest, lumbar and shoulder support, and side bolsters for lateral support during aggressive riding. Tilt steering and an adjustable driver’s seat are easily adaptable to a range of drivers and driving styles. No tools required.

Convenient Storage
The onboard storage consists of a 4.5 gal (17.2 L) glove box and a 3.4 (13.1 L) storage space beneath the driver’s seat. Convenient and versatile cockpit storage space so you can take your essentials with you.

High-Strength Protection
2-in diameter, high-strength steel cage designed around the Rollover Protective Structures (ROPS) industry standard. Meets the requirements of the ANSI / ROHVA 1-2011 standard for ROPS, with the ISO 3471 option in section 10.

Standard Anti-Theft System
D.E.S.S. is the industry’s first standard anti-theft device. Electronic code in key must match code in ECU to start. Can-Am side-by-side vehicles come with two different keys. One limits top speed to 44 mph (70 km/h); the other has no limitations.

Lighting the Way
The Can-Am side-by-side vehicles family features a 240-W lighting system. Automotive-style projectors on each side run at 120-W on low beam and 240-W on high beam.
