Introduction

The Honda CRF50F was introduced as the quintessential mini bike and it became the longest running model in Honda’s off-road line-up, and the choice of beginning riders the world over. An inverted fork, 49cc four-stroke engine, automatic clutch and three-speed gearbox make the CRF50F a blast to ride.

History

Honda CRF series, the line of four-stroke motocross bikes manufactured and marketed by Honda, was introduced in 2002, both as a successor to the Honda XR series and a substitute for the two-stroke Honda CR series.

The entry-level CRF’s have simple air-cooled engines, and they start with the CRF50F.

First launched in 2004, Honda CRF50F was there to replace the XR50 model which entered production three years earlier. The small bike with racing-inspired CRF styling, Honda’s entry-level CRF50F featured an inverted fork, single-shock rear suspension, and a very low 21.6-inch seat height so it completed its purpose of offering more benefits than the XR model.

2005 brought the CRF-R-inspired bodywork as the now popular mini motocross machine didn’t needed technical improvements or any other upgrades.

The rest of the changes until this day are purely visual because the CRF50F, like its bigger brothers, changed graphics as the CRF-R model evolved and introduced new ones.
