The motorcycle rides on a 37 mm leading-axle Showa fork ( 9.5 inches of wheel travel) and a rear Pro-Link Showa single shock with spring preload adjustability (9.0 inches travel). In terms of ergonomy, the Honda CRF230F features a law motocross-style seat that allows for maximum rider movement.

The stopping power is assured by a front single 240mm disc and a rear drum.
