The Honda TRX 250X is a versatile ATV that is perfectly suited for a wide range of riders.
At its heart lies an OHC, air-cooled, longitudinally mounted engine that offers a perfect combination between power and efficiency. The engine is combined with an innovative SportClutch and a five speed transmission with reverse mode.
Anyone knows that power without control is useless, so the ATV needed a set of capable suspensions to help you use the entire power generated by the engine. Therefore Honda equipped its TRX250X with a front independent double-wishbone suspension (5.9 inches of wheel travel) and a rear swingarm with single shock absorber (5.7 inches travel) which work together to deliver a great handling.
The ATV rides on lightweight aluminum wheels shod in front 22 x 7-10 and rear 22 x 10-9 knobby tires.
The Honda TRX50X is offered with a starting price of $4,499.

Overview
What kind of rider is the right kind of rider when it comes to a TRX250X? Just about anyone 16 or older. That’s because the TRX250X is perfectly suited for new riders, experienced riders, back wood trails and hot desert sands.
It all starts with an OHC, air-cooled, longitudinally mounted engine that produces Honda’s famous mix of smooth, efficient power and loads of torque right when you need it. From there, we added our exclusive SportClutch™ that lets you manually shift for yourself, while also minimizing the potential of stalling for new riders. A shaft final drive designed to provide years of maintenance-free fun. Independent front suspension for improved control over varying conditions. And loads of that Honda reliability people love.
Important Safety Information:
Recommended for riders 16 years of age and older. Honda recommends that all ATV riders take a training course and read their owner's manual thoroughly.
If there's one thing that separates the Honda TRX250X from the rest, it's balance. Its torquey, longitudinal engine delivers smooth power, with a configuration that maximizes speed and handling while reducing friction. One-push electric starting and Honda's exclusive, stall-free SportClutch make the TRX250X's special breed of wind-in-the-face fun accessible to just about anyone. And its unique Honda combination of agile handling, light weight, contemporary styling, easy-riding ergonomics and legendary quality put it miles ahead of the competition.
Electric Starter
Effortless electric starter makes getting the engine started easy, even when the engine is cold or you’ve been riding all day.
Exclusive Honda SportClutch™
Handlebar-mounted Honda SportClutch enables the rider to experience manual clutch actuation with the advantage of no stalling when coming to a stop. Revolutionary feature allows beginning or novice riders to learn clutch engagement points, while experienced riders enjoy the full performance of a conventional manual clutch.
Reverse
Easy to use reverse for unloading or getting out of tight spots.
Keyed Ignition
Keyed ignition switch for added security. The switch also lets you control who goes riding and when.
Rugged, Reliable 229cc OHV Engine
Lightweight OHV air-cooled 229cc engine is longitudinally mounted, allowing direct driveshaft alignment to rear wheels for more efficient power transfer. Two-valve cylinder-head design features performance-optimized valve timing, a 31.5mm-diameter intake valve and a 27mm-diameter exhaust valve to produce a broad, usable powerband.
Independent Front Suspension
Independent double-wishbone front suspension provides an exceptional 5.9 inches of travel and a smooth ride over challenging terrain.
Lightweight Aluminum Wheels
Lightweight aluminum wheels reduce unsprung weight for superior handling.
Rubber-Mounted Engine
Rubber-mounted engine reduces vibration. This makes parts last longer, and lets you ride longer without feeling as tired.
Shaft Final Drive
Honda’s fully sealed rear driveshaft is super-strong and virtually maintenance free. The driveshafts sit inline with the engine’s crankshaft.
