Honda revamped its entire range of playbikes for 2014 and the CRF125F makes no exception. The model is available in two versions namely the standard and big wheel. The first is fitted with 14” rear and 16” front rims while the latter comes with 19” front and 17” rear wheels.
The Big Wheel version also comes with a two-inch taller seat height which makes it perfectly suited for taller riders.
The new CRF125F replaces the old CRF100F and gets beefier forks (31mm compared to 27mm) which have a longer travel, a new frame and an all-new larger displacement engine.
Talking about the engine, the 2014 CRF125F is propelled by an air-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC, four-stroke engine with a displacement of 124.9cc. The engine is brought to life by an electric starter and its speed is controlled by means of a four-speed transmission.

Overview
Bigger Riders Need Bigger Bikes.
Availability: September, 2013. Honda’s all-new CRF125F (Big Wheel) is going to be a great choice for a wide range of riders. Basically, it’s the same great machine as our new CRF125F, but with bigger wheels and a two-inch taller seat height. You’ll find it’s perfect for teens and smaller adults who just want to get out on the trails and have fun. Loaded with features, we’re especially proud of its reliability (nothing can match a Honda for that), so you get to concentrate on having a good time rather than fussing with a temperamental machine.
Rugged, simple and easy to maintain, it offers styling cues that match our CRF450R and CRF250R motocross bikes. Its electric starter makes it easy to get underway, while a four-speed transmission gives you all the control of a full-sized bike.
Off-road riding should be fun. And for 2014, the new CRF125F (Big Wheel) offers as much fun as bikes twice its size.

Just because it’s a small bike doesn’t mean we scrimped on the details—just the opposite, in fact: the front disc brake is a perfect example. It’s a big-bike feature that’s pure Honda.
2104 Honda CRF125F Big Wheel Features and Benefits
Proven Manual Clutch
Honda's heavy-duty clutch is smooth-shifting and durable.
Keyed Ignition Switch
Keyed ignition switch for added security. The switch lets you control who goes riding and when, important if you have younger riders in the house.
Tough Bodywork
Kids can be tough on equipment, but the new CRF125F (Big Wheel) can handle it. With tough plastic fenders, tank and other body parts, the CRF125F (Big Wheel) is engineered to shrug off the minor dings of the real world.
Reliable Engine
The CRF125F Big Wheel dependable 125 cc four-stroke, single-cylinder engine offers good performance with a wide powerband—perfect for a wide range of riders, including beginners. And because it's a Honda, you know it's reliable, too.
Four-Speed Transmission
The four-speed gearbox is just like a full-sized motorcycle, meeting the needs of riders moving up into bigger bikes while delivering good power through all the gear ratios.
Bigger Wheels
With an 19-inch front wheel and an 16-inch in the rear, the new CRF125F Big Wheel will fit taller riders a little better. The right-sized bike is as important as wearing the right-sized boots or helmet.
Front Disc Brake
The front disc brake provides superior stopping power with the front disc rotor drilled for lightness and better wet-weather performance.
Low Seat Height
It's important to have a bike that's sized right for your rider. The CRF125F Big Wheel's low 30.9-inch seat height helps build confidence right from the start.
Pro-Link® Rear Suspension
Progressive linkage connects a single shock to the swingarm. Delivers an excellent combination of spring and damping rates over a wide range of riding conditions with a heavy duty rear shock.
Sturdy Steel Frame
Durability and quality are hallmarks of a Honda dirt bike. That's why the CRF125F Big Wheel uses a strong, steel frame that's built to handle the bumps and dings of off-road riding.

Verdict
The new CRF125F Big Wheel has the potential to become a huge success for Honda. It represents a huge evolution over the old CRF100F and you can expect it to be at least as reliable as the old model.
Its new larger displacement engine is also welcomed and is very easy to maintain because basic operations like chain adjusting, oil changing, or air filter cleaning can be done easy, without any problems. We also need to send a shout at the brakes which reward you with a soft bite and strong stopping power.
On the other hand, the suspensions feel a bit harsh at high speeds and the seat is a bit too hard for our tastes. Also, you should keep in mind that the motorcycle wasn’t designed for high jumps, but it can handle pretty well smaller jumps.
Overall, the CRF125F is a great bike and despite the fact that it was designed for beginners it has what it needs to offer an interesting riding experience even for the more experienced riders.
