Overview
The Rubicon: Ready for adventure.
If you're headed out for adventure on an ATV—or even if you've just got some tough chores to tackle—you need a machine that's strong enough to get the job done, but smart enough to make it all easy. And that's why we built the Honda FourTrax Foreman Rubicon. Strong? Its engine is a real powerhouse that delivers tons of torque. Smart? Its longitudinal layout and exclusive Hondamatic transmission makes smart use of that power and makes sure it all gets to the ground where it really matters. From the tightest mountain trails to the ranches and farms, the Honda FourTrax Foreman Rubicon has what it takes. And best of all, because it works with you, you'll never have to work overtime at the controls.
Important Safety Information
Recommended for riders 16 years of age and older. Honda recommends that all ATV riders take a training course and read their owner's manual thoroughly.
2014 Honda FourTrax Foreman Rubicon Key Features:
Electric Power Steering.
Honda's Electric Power Steering (available on FPA model) features sophisticated torque sensors that measure how much force you're applying and then tailor how much extra assist you need. It makes your life way easier, especially when riding over ruts, rocks, logs, or on sidehills.
Hondamatic Transmission.
A continuously variable design, the Hondamatic is probably the smoothest automatic you'll ever ride. You get total control, a smooth ride, and plenty of power: a win-win-win situation!
Works Hard, Looks Good.
Sure, the Rubicon is a hard worker, and has always had great styling. But we decided to change things up a bit. The first thing you'll notice is the blacked-out skid plate, grille, and brush guard. Then, take a look at the black wheels our Olive color gets for 2014. Change is good.
2014 Honda FourTrax Foreman Rubicon Features and Benefits:
Electric Shift Program (ESP)
Upshifting or downshifting is easy and fast—just push one of two handlebar-mounted buttons. ESP is a huge advantage when riding in heavy boots or if your boots are covered in mud or snow because you don't have to fuss with a conventional left-foot ATV shift lever.
Triple Headlights
The Rubicon features three headlights, two mounted on the front fenders and one on the handlebar. The 45-watt handlebar light moves with the bar to illuminate the area you choose. All three use multi-reflector lenses for superior light distribution.
Accessory Power Outlet
The Rubicon comes with a 12-volt accessory outlet as standard equipment. That makes it easy to run or recharge your electronics (cell-phone charger, GPS, etc.) out in the woods or on the jobsite. An optional rear-mounted outlet is also available as a Honda Genuine Accessory.
TraxLok
Upshifting or downshifting is easy and fast—just push one of two handlebar-mounted buttons. ESP is a huge advantage when riding in heavy boots or if your boots are covered in mud or snow because you don't have to fuss with a conventional left-foot ATV shift lever.
Front Adjustable Suspension
Adjustable dual shocks allow you to optimize suspension performance for various load conditions.
Semi-Dry-Sump Engine Design
Compact and lighter-weight, the Rubicon's overhead-valve, semi-dry sump design creates an engine that's shorter from top to bottom. That returns two big benefits: it enhances handling by lowering the engine's center of gravity, and it also increases ground clearance.
Towing Capacity
Got a tough job to tackle? No problem—the Rubicon is up to the task. With a generous 850-pound towing capacity and rack capacity of 66 pounds up front and 133 pounds in the rear, the Rubicon is ready to double as a pack mule when you need to carry a load. (Hitch ball shown sold separately.)
Rear Adjustable Suspension
Adjustable dual shocks allow you to optimize suspension performance for various load conditions.
