Honda will launch in June the S-wing, a new top-of-the-range scooter 125 which will take the succession of the Pantheon. The body of Swing 125 equipped with two optics before separate draws its inspiration in the automobile design. Honda promises a better protection of the bust thanks to a widened careenage and windshield. The target aimed by Honda is clearly the motorists in search of urban mobility. They will not be unfamiliarized with the dashboard copied on that of their car. They should also be sensitive to the argument safety of the S-wing which is only equipped with a braking coupled before/back, combined with an operational ABS on the two wheels. Honda France hopes to sell 70 % of S-wing 125 with ABS.
Perhaps because of the setting in conformity of certain models with the standards Euro-3 or because at Honda one preferred to give the priority to the more carrying markets such Italy or Spain, the fact is that the substitute of the Pantheon 125 did not cease accumulating delay, are between three and four months: a situation very embarrassing for the network and the users because there is beautiful “lurette” that stocks of the Pantheon MOD. 2006 are exhausted and that a good number of customers left elsewhere! Like what, there are not only the manufacturers of planes which have ignition retard. From an aesthetic point of view, the originality does not seem to have been the discussion thread of its originators. If the back remains in conformity with the guns of the mark, with lines close to the range Silver Wing, before as for him, clearly inspired of the automobile design with it's reflecting optics multi and the retro on the body, resembles to mistake there with that of a French scooter with success. However, the unit appears homogeneous and even “reassuring” because its scale does not pour in excess, whereas construction seems of good invoice.
The first scooter 125 with braking coupled and ABS on the two wheels
To announce to the passage that for this “Swing”, France enormously took part in its design and its development. It will be thus, without any doubt, in conformity with the user expectations hexagonal and adapted to the traffic of our cities. An example to consolidate this assertion is the adoption on the Swing of a braking assisted, with anti-ice-skating (ABS) on the two wheels and of a system of coupling (CBS) between the two wheels. One can speak about an extremely positive projection in term of safety for this scooter 125 Cm3, which joined the device adopted by Peugeot on some of its models. Here is in any case an innovation which, hope for it, will oblige all the other manufacturers with more considering the question.
The Swing will deliver 15 horses, the maximum authorized for the license B
If, at the end of the day, the transition from the Pantheon to the Swing is not a true revolution as regards motorization (the Pantheon had forsaken the engine 2 times for one 4 times in 2003), it is accompanied by a whole series of improvements which make of it a vehicle more modern and pleasant to use with the daily newspaper. The one-cylinder one with two valves and camshaft at the head is fed by an electronic injection (certainly the system of injection PGM-F1) and thus informed by various sensors of which a probe lambda with the exhaust or another on the level of the opening of gases to optimize combustion. The announced power is in any case 11,1 kw with 9.500 tr/min, i.e. the allowed maximum to be able to approve this 125 Cm3 for the holders of the license B (car). This mechanics respects obviously the standard Euro-3. If one refers to the recent evolutions of the Honda engines during these two last years, with models like the HS 125 or the PS 125i for example, this engine should deliver its power in a rather linear way and especially answer without hesitation the least request of the accelerator.
Computer of edge and trunk for two helmets
The part cycles, it, evolves/moves discreetly with in particular of the new rims (always 13 and 12 inches, av/ar), a braking combined av/ar (with ABS on the Luxe version) and an increase length and width (respectively + 5 and + 10 mm compared to the Pantheon). The overall height as for it is falling (- 20mm), certainly because of the rétros which are not any more with the handlebar, but fixed on the careenage. No the news concerning the footing on the other hand. Dimensioned aspects practise, to announce the presence of two crutches (side and central), a trunk which can contain a full-face helmet and a jet or, of a very complete automobile inspiration and dashboard. In addition to the meters and the level gauges of gasoline or temperature, one finds a computer of edge (instantaneous consumption, etc) and a whole panel of indicators which go from the witness of ABS to the indicator of oil change. Very also interesting (and logic we would say), the presence of a call of headlight with the index, of a luggage stand similar to that of the HS which allows a fast fixing of a signal puts Honda and of a hook on the level of the front apron.
However, on these first photographs in our possession, we saw neither of parking brake nor of glove compartment (it is at the left level of the apron) closing with key. On the level of control, new the 5 mm higher saddle and the positioning of the handlebar behind (simple assumption of our share) let foresee a more dynamic position of control, certainly halfway between those of Suzuki Burgman and Peugeot Satelis. Protection as for it should of course be higher, in any case one hopes for it! The capacity of the gasoline tank does not vary and remains with 11,5 liters, as on the Pantheon.

Features
Honda packs reliable and maintenance-poor four stroke engine technology with elevated equipment with the new scooter S-Wing 125 into a modern and pleasing Design. In addition the design features permit the conclusion that with Honda S-Wing enjoy 125 drivers and partner above average scooter comfort.
The chassis with telescope front fork provides for precise handling in all situations and the combined brake system CBS permits good brake control. The right brake lever functions as used and causes handy control of the Vorderradbremse. The left brake lever heads for front and rear wheel brake at the same time and makes a balanced brake performance possible for most situations.
The maximum braking action is produced by the simultaneous manipulation of both brake levers. So far uniquely in this motorcycle class is the optional anti-skid system, which Honda for the S-Wing offers to 125.

The S-Wing’s wide, recessed instrument panel conveys the look of a luxury sedan with its attractively designed four-dial façade. Its smartly appointed design provides a steady reminder of Honda’s unerring attention to detail. Instruments include a large, easy-to-read speedometer and tachometer pair positioned within easy view at the panel’s centre surrounded by paired coolant temperature and fuel gauges. Prominently positioned indicator lights and a large LCD digital clock and dual-trip meter complete the design together with a handy average fuel consumption readout that continually gauges fuel economy based on, among other factors, throttle operation. Finally, the whole assembly is recessed behind an attractively styled clear plastic lens and backlit by coolly illuminating white LEDs (Standard version: amber)
