SPORTBIKE PERFORMANCE, TOURING COMFORT The Concoursâ„¢ motorcycle is designed for the sport-touring enthusiast who wants the engine and chassis performance of a sportbike, but demands the comfort and convenience necessary for those extended road trips that make life more interesting As a true sport-tourer, the Concours handles twisty backroads as easily as it cruises the highway, thanks to a rigid chassis and 997cc liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine. The engine produces strong power throughout the rev range and a gear-driven counterbalancer smoothes vibration. The engine is matched to a six-speed transmission to keep the engine at a relaxed rpm at highway speeds. Of course, comfort is a high priority on the Concours. It features a triple-density foam saddle, which is deeply contoured to comfortably seat both the rider and passenger. A full fairing creates an aerodynamic envelope for two when riding in a relaxed, upright position. Two lockable bins are on either side of the fairing for added convenience. The Concours also features a 7.5-gallon fuel tank for long-distance touring, and locking luggage detaches with the flip of a latch for overnight trips. Plus, the smooth flowing lines of the Concours add an aesthetic touch, and special panels can be secured to the sides when the saddlebags and mounting brackets are removed. I blew away a leather clad bozo on a souped up hog just this morning.
No Pork!
Rick Archer (6686) - Posted on 07.29.2006 You can mod the bike with F.1 pipes. The sound great and get a rejet on the carbs. Thats what I did and it runs alot faster . MOBEL ONE oil seems to do great less heat.
sureshot@zoominternet.net (6686) - Posted on 07.17.2006 For the money and the power. You can not go wrong,.
This bike has the basic need for speed and travel.
The bike handles like a sport bike around twisty turns that you invite with a smile. I am 6.4 This bike fits me like a glove . If you are under 5.9 I would buy a 800 interceptor. This bike seems to sit high.
So before buy. please sit on the bike. If you can touch the bottom of the floor with youre feet almost flat you should be fine.tHE BIKE CAN RIDE AT 70-75 ALL DAY. I guess if it can go 150mph 75 isnt much for a engine that is cOLD 3 WAYS to keep the engine, cool. You can get alot of miles on the bikes with oil changes syn Mobel ONE. I had a H.D try to lose me the other day I was shifting under 6000 and kept up easly. I could of killed him.But his bike was too prettty to smoke. But the next red light He never got out of second,I was in 3rd at 100mph. Dont let a V,ROD spook you they do a 11,90 1/4 and you have six grears. You are a little faster with 4 ,then his 2.
But let the screaming eagle go. He has 160.hp
The 2003 have 110 at the rear wheel. The V RODS have 115 at the crank.
