If looks could kill this machine would be locked up. The KFX700 is the Monster Truck of the Quad world. It looks like it could climb Everest with power to spare and out-gun all but the swiftest off-roader, four-wheel or two. And those looks do not deceive. An impressive 697 cm³ V-twin power plant provides 49 ps driven through the purposeful and ever so wide rear tyres via an automatic transmission that’s been specially designed for the job. Why bother changing gears when you could just be having fun. Along with the CVT, the long travel shock absorbers, swing arm rear suspension and powerful front disc brakes reveal this to be the ultimate off road adventurer. The KFX700’s power and performance begins with its engine. The liquid-cooled, 697cc, four-stroke, 90-degree V-twin is matched to a performance-tuned continuously variable automatic transmission. Combined, the powerful engine and automatic transmission eliminate rpm and shifting concerns because it’s in the optimum powerband at all times. This allows the rider to focus even more attention on choosing good lines, whether it’s on the race track or trail. Other features include shaft drive, powerful dual front disc brakes and Kawasaki’s sealed, oil-bathed, multi-disc rear brake system. The KFX700 also features the industry’s first mass-produced ATV chassis with a racing-inspired single lower front frame tube – the design preferred by cross-country ATV racers. Rear suspension duties are handled by a motocross-inspired swingarm with a piggy-back reservoir shock, and ITP® Holeshot® tires provide the KFX700 with maximum traction and maneuverability. i have had two kfx 700’s a 04 and 05 and i never took it to the shop,or broke anything.i ride my kfx very hard. i ride in the rocks,i jump it i do everthing to kill it and i have never broke anything. so you guys must at riding you quads.
The plastics on the new kfx 700 are extremely brittle and if it rolls over say good bye to all the plastics... also the tie rods are cheap too.
Sorry to hear what Matthew had to say. I have a 2004 which I built to 800cc w/ high compression pistons, re-ground cams, mild head work, dual exhaust, works shocks, K&N,etc.. In three years of hard riding my KFX is the only bike which has never broke. I’m always the one who has to toe everyone back to camp who broke. Not only can I smoke a 450 up competition hill at Dumont CA; but I always have plenty of torque to toe their broken bikes back to camp. But in all honestly, the bike is very heavy and does need some attention (money) given to the engine and clutch to make it really come alive. The beauty is my 12 year old daughter can ride this bike. It’s that easy..
omg your a fagi hade my atv i neat the out of it fore that last year and the moste amazing atv ever get some t4 racing pips sounds amazing the thing weles fore ever no gears i can do 100k welalis it kicks rapter 660s i love rapters but it beats it but not the 700 u must have got a deftive 1 haha
The Kfx 700 is t the biggest peace of junk I have ever had the misfortune of owning. It’s Just a lemon in a fancy raper Of the two year’s I have had this thing I had nuthing but trouble. It has been in the shop 8 times and 9 Month’s in the shop all together and 3/12/06 My oil pump went out and now it’s going back to the shop thank you Kawasaki for wasting my time and money.
