The Kawasaki KLX was born to conquer the toughest terrains without backing down. At the heart of the motorcycle sits a 449 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, single cylinder engine which is mated to a five speed transmission and can be brought to life by either an electric starter or a kick starter. The engine needs to deal with a curb mass of 126 kg and is fueled by an 8 litres fuel tank.

The bike rides on a pair of rugged spoked wheels which are wrapped in 80/100-21M/C 51P front and 120/90-18M/C 65P rear tyres.

Other features that are worthy of being mentioned include digital instrumentation (speedometer, twin tripmeters, odometer and clock), LED rear lights and petal disc brakes.

The motorcycle rides on 48 M upside-down AOStype telescopic forks with 22-way compression and 20-way rebound damping and rear uni-trak adjustable suspensions.
