The 350 EXC-F was especially prepared by KTM to be able to race in the "International Six Days Enduro" competition. This is the toughest competition today, and covers over a thousand of offroad kilometres, which means that the rider has to spent approximately 40 hours in the saddle. The motorcycle is built on a lightweight frame made from high-quality chrome-molybdenum steel. This frame construction offers a first class lateral stiffness and is able to absorb jolts introduced by the suspension system without problems. Power comes from a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, spark-ignition, liquid-cooled engine which has a displacement of 349.7 cc. The engine is combined with an advanced Engine Management System which works in conjunction with electronic fuel injection and a 42 mm throttle body. Other features include the 4CS closed-cartridge fork from WP Suspension, black anodised handlebar with KTM Six Days logo, full rear brake disc, Camel SXS seat and a exhaust silencer with Six Days anodising (anthracite) and Six Days logo. Six days in succession, over a thousand offroad kilometres, 40 hours in the saddle - a gruelling test, not only for the rider. A whole package of high-quality special options makes the KTM 350 EXC‑F 2013 fit for this ruthless contest, in which more than half the starters bank on KTM every year. 350 EXC-F Six Days - only authentic with the orange powder-coated frame of the KTM Factory Team. SIX DAYS EQUIPMENT
BODYWORKThe KTM 350 EXC‑F Six Days has bodywork with extremely slim ergonomics and excellent contact points between rider and machine. It provides unlimited freedom of movement. For MY 2013, the bike stands out with newly styled graphics in the colours of the ISDE in Germany. HANDLEBARTapered, extremely stable aluminium handlebars from Neken are paraded on the 2013 enduro bikes. For the 2013 model year, new 2-component grips with KTM logo deliver excellent feeling and improved grip. FRAMEThe 2013 350 EXC-F Six Days’ lightweight frame made from high-quality chrome-molybdenum steel is distinguished by an extremely high level of lateral stiffness. It is also excellent at absorbing jolts introduced by the suspension system, whereby the playful handling and comfort of the KTM 350 EXC‑F Six Days have been further optimised. NEW DDS CLUTCHThe new DDS clutch (Damped Diaphragm Steel): The one-piece outer clutch hub with primary gear is machined from a single piece of high-strength steel. Unbeatable reliability is the result. It also allows the use of thin steel discs. This results in an extremely compact construction for a narrow engine width. A diaphragm spring enables the implementation of an additional hub damping mechanism - an invaluable benefit in terms of traction and gearbox durability. In conjunction with the diaphragm spring, the hydraulic clutch actuation system from Brembo ensures very smooth and very precise clutch control. INDIVIDUAL SUSPENSION SETTINGEach EXC model has its own individual suspension settings, optimally tuned to weight and engine. At the rear, a PDS shock absorber from WP Suspension works with a direct linkage to the upper side of the swingarm. The wide range of setting options for rebound damping and high- and low-speed compression damping are standard on KTM bikes. FORKThe KTM Six Days models are equipped with a completely redesigned, 48 mm closed-cartridge fork from WP Suspension. The new 4-chamber technology (4CS) patented by WP not only provides a key benefit in terms of responsiveness and consistent damping characteristics, it is also lighter and oil services prove to be far simpler than on the conventional closed-cartridge versions. This fork overcomes extremely rutted tracks and other such major obstacles with the greatest of ease. Another benefit: The fork can be adapted to track and rider in a matter of clicks at the top of the fork: compression damping on the left-hand shaft, rebound damping on the right. TRIPLE CLAMPMeticulously finished triple clamps machined from a solid block are fitted to all Six Days models. Not only do they look classy in anodised orange; above all, they are designed in such a way that they support the responsiveness and sliding behaviour of the new fork and ultimately have a positive effect on the entire handling. HIGH QUALITY WHEELSHigh quality, CNC-machined hubs are standard on all KTM wheels. The new, extremely stable, 7050 aluminium rims from GIANT now bear exclusive 6Days lettering. New MAXXIS FIM tyres - specially developed for KTM - provide excellent traction, very precise directional control and a long service life. ENGINEThe dimensions and weight of the KTM 350cc engine are virtually the same as the 250! Its superlative performance results from reducing the moving masses to a minimum. The powerful punch from the bottom end up to the rev limiter brings a tear to the eye of every enduro enthusiast - no matter whether they’re a pro or a beginner! With so much torque, they’re all crying for joy! ENGINE MANAGEMENTThe EMS from Keihin is state-of-the-art. Along with electronic fuel injection and a 42 mm throttle body, it delivers spontaneous, powerful responsiveness and handling. Automatic temperature and altitude compensation are also to be found on board. With the optional map-select switch (PowerParts), a variety of different engine characteristics can be selected. Thanks to the user setting tool from the PowerParts range, the EFI mapping on the KTM 350 EXC‑F Six Days can be changed and individually tuned from a laptop. This guarantees maximum performance at all times. LIGHTWEIGHT ENGINE CASESlimmed down: Die-cast instead of sand-cast engine case! This noticeably reduces wall thickness with no reduction in stability. A lighter engine and therefore better handling are the result. A special, high-strength aluminium alloy provides maximum resistance to damage. VALVE TRAINAlongside the very small, lightweight (only 8 g) cam followers with DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating, the DOHC cylinder head is equipped with four ultra-light titanium valves, allowing very high engine speeds of up to 12,000 1/min. Compared with the SX-F power unit, the camshafts are designed less for maximum power and more enduro-specifically for a broad usable rev range. SPECIFICATIONS
