Moto Guzzi launched a special edition of its iconic Griso 8V model. The new model stands out from the crowd thanks to its new color schemes namely the Tenni Green and Rosso Mandello red, both combined with a blacked-out powertrain. We also need to send a shout at the chromed, anodized and satin-finished components, displays and commands which further enhance the unique look of the motorcycle.

Power comes from a V90 four-stroke engine, capable of 110 hp at only 7,500 rpm. The engine has a tubular twin cradle chassis in a larger format, with a wheelbase of 1,554 mm, rake of 108 mm, and steering rake and angle at 26.30° and 34° respectively.

The rider is met by the ergonomic saddle and the handy handlebar which received a few tweaks to offer a more comfortable riding position. The ride quality is assured by a sporty suspension setup which is adjustable at both ends, thus allowing for a firmer or plusher ride if desired.

Griso 8V SE has impeccable style; this machine is an instinctive creation, pure, solid and distinctive and in many ways a work of art. The design details are discreet but elegant and pure quality; the lines blend together and are accentuated by the chrome finishing and satin metal form. The fuel tank lends itself superbly to the strong frame creating an aerodynamic teardrop body which is continued through to the tail which houses three high intensity LED light units.

The Griso is decidedly masculine and powerful yet the “Quattrovalvole” engine seems to be set like a jewel in a frame that shows off its revolutionary design to the utmost effect. Returning to the performance, it becomes obvious that the sophisticated components are not mere technical details included for the sake of style but enhances performance and provides guaranteed reactivity.

Quotes

Bikez ---- "Griso 8V SE has impeccable style; this machine is an instinctive creation, pure, solid and distinctive and in many ways a work of art. The design details are discreet but elegant and pure quality; the lines blend together and are accentuated by the chrome finishing and satin metal form."

Cycleworld ---- "Our full road test of the jet-black Griso 1200 8V (March, 2009) left little doubt as to the positive headway being made within the revitalized M-G. “The all-new eight-valve engine in this version boosts power in a big way, especially beyond 5000 rpm,” we proclaimed. “Four-valve heads allow a compression ratio bump to 11.1:1, and they let this Guzzi surprise Ducati Hypermotards when the light turns green during the usually boring evening commute."
