There has always been a special something about naked European motorcycles and the recently announced 2010 Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 Veloce is the Italian motorcycle manufacturer’s demonstration of power as veloce means high-speed in Italian. This tends to make the bike even more special and increase our interest regarding it.

Yet another star from the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany is the 2009 Moto Morini Scrambler, a high displacement naked bike that shares its class with the Triumph having the same name.

The Moto Morini is indeed a fierce competitor thanks to its 1187cc V-Twin engine and tough looks, which makes us wonder when the English maker will make its 2009 comeback.

Featuring 19-inch wheels dressed in off-road rubber and supported by Marzocchi inverted forks with many protective attachments, the Moto Morini Scrambler is the perfect companion from where the asphalt ends. Equipped with Brembo brakes, it will provide the best of stopping power, but on that same surface, something that makes us tend to call the Triumph Scrambler a better all-around bike. But we will wait to see for ourselves what the Morini can do and we’ll then give a verdict.

Black with Red Frame Version Fabulous looking in its new Black and Red outfit, the new Corsaro Avio Black is Moto Morini’s latest creation and even greater is the fact that the bike is already available at dealers in Italy so it won’t be long until it will find its place in your garage. Moto Morini never misses a chance to amaze the motorcycling public and we should give the small Italian manufacturer the credit it fairly won by being consequent and trusty. For 2008 it is all about the new launches, the Scrambler and 1200 Sport, which have just gotten their official pictures taken and are ready to impress not only with the looks, but with the attitude, also. The bikes made their entry at the Padova Motorcycle Show two weekends ago and were presented as being derived (...)

Morini motion had promised some innovation for this year’s Bike Expo, and has maintained that promise with a surplus. In fact, in their press releases that they prepared for this show, beyond the new models that were introduced at the EICMA show we saw two new versions of the naked 9 1/2, but (and here is the big surprise) Moto Morini exposes them being equipped with the 1200 engine of the Corsaro model. The exhaust with its lateral plate, the black rubber (Scrambler 1200) or the (...)

The name 9 1/2 is an homage to the legendary 3 1/2 twin cylinder of the 1970s. However, it is also acknowledgement of a common thread running between two projects separated in time. The 9 1/2 in fact is the motorcycle whose style, rational design and technological innovation most closely interpret the spirit of that Morini machine. The easy handling, the rational approach to the technical solutions and their efficiency as a result are features that both motorcycles share and that are undeniably a part of Moto Morini’s DNA.

Whether used for touring, off-road or battling city traffic, Granpasso 1200 is dedicated to the motorcyclist who racks up miles, wants a comfortable ride and ventures into places where there’s no trace of asphalt. He uses the bike to manoeuvre the streets, but that doesn’t mean he’s not looking for some fun. Moto Morini introduces its interpretation of the road Enduro, a multitasking, versatile bike suited for touring but that has the racing imprint that’s part of the DNA of all Moto Morini bikes.
