In the latest years Start Motorcycles - which is in fact a Yamaha sub-brand - managed to become the most recommended brand after Harley Davidson which is today’s segment leader.

One of the models that helped Star build its strong reputation among the American bikers was the custom-style Raider.

Using the favorable wind produced by the Raider’s ascension, Star grabbed the opportunity to introduce a new model which also happens to fill a pretty big gap in its mid-size cruiser lineup.

For the newborn Stryker, Star Motorcycle forged an all-new cradle-type steel frame. The new frame houses a 1304-cc v-twin engine which is liquid-cooled via a tasty radiator mounted between the frame’s front downtubes. It’s the same powerplant used by the V-Star 1300 but it received a few tweaks which give it a higher lifter ratios for extra punch. The result is a more responsive unit which delivers a stronger midrange power, being perfectly suited for Stryker’s needs.
