The Ural T sidecar is a classic motorcycle that seems like it came straight from the World War 2. However, despite its old origins, the Ural T is a modern motorcycle built for the modern roads.

Unlike the Ural Patrol, the T model is not fitted with two wheel drive traction form the rear wheel so is aimed at those who are planning to use their bike only on paved roads.

Being targeted as an urban motorcycle the Ural T has also softer suspensions and a less rugged style.

Like all Ural’s motorcycles the, T model is powered by a Boxer, OHV Air-cooled, 4 stroke, 749 cc engine which cranks out 40 hp at 5600 rpm and 38 ft-lbs of torque at 4600 rpm.

The engine is fed by a 5 gallons fuel tank and its power is controlled by a 4 speed transmission with reverse.

Overview

We've thought a lot about what you really want. And the crystal ball said you are long overdue for some true FUN... and an unbeatable price tag. We tried to distill the essence of Ural to one lean and clean package - a functional, affordable sidecar motorcycle with a touch of style and a promise of great adventure. While the 2013 T is instantly ready to take you wherever you want to go, it is also a fantastic canvas to personalize, so that you can create your own, and unique sidecar motorcycle.

The 2013 Ural T is available in either Flat Black or Olive Drab.

Boxer

Reliable, stout, and proven, the boxer layout could be the last engine you ever ride. Air cooled, and elegant, this motor is the heart of every Ural we build.

Powdercoated Finish

Tough, uniform, and incredibly sharp, some 2013 models received powdercoated—not painted—finishes.

Brembo & Sachs

Stop with ease—Brembo full floating disc on the front—and know the terrain—Sachs suspension.

Verdict

You won’t need to be an expert in motorcycles to guess that the Ural T has a class of its own. This being said, we’ll have to admit that like any bike, the Ural T has both good points and bad points.

The good news is that when it comes to practicality it can’t be rivaled by any other motorcycle from the streets. Its engine is also fairly strong and its power is accessible very low in the rev-range. Though, it could be a bit noisy for the faint of heart riders. Unfortunately, the gearbox is pretty rudimentary and the shifts aren’t exactly smooth.

The built quality and the attention to detail leave much to be desired, but as far as reliability is concerned, the Ural T will surprise you with its bullet proof (and simple) mechanics.

It also comes with a pretty low base price of just $9,999.
