The 2010 Victory Jackpot is all about delivering the ultimate custom riding experience by relying on the consecrated 106-cubic-inch Freedom V-Twin engine and on a host of unique features such as the 250mm rear tire, a color-matched frame, billet wheels and a chrome front end just to mention a few. Also for 2010, Cory Ness got his hands dirty and came up with the Victory Cory Ness Jackpot limited edition motorcycle. Watch for the Ness custom-designed paint and diamond-cut cylinder heads in order to identify this absolutely beautiful creation in Victory’s lineup.

Introduction

Victory isn’t short of massive V-Twin engines to power their custom creations so for the 2010 Jackpot and Cory Ness Jackpot they went for the same 106 ci / 1,731 cc, 4-stroke 50° V-Twin engine called Freedom and also used on their Hammer muscle bikes. On the Jackpots, this engine is tuned to smoothly deliver 92 horsepower and 109 ft-lbs of torque and mates to the same six-speed overdrive transmission. Electronic fuel injection with dual 45mm throttle bodies is meant to keep things lively at all times and provide the needed throb when surpassing out on the freeway, while the sixth gear reduces fuel consumption and vibrations without cutting that much into passing power.

Technically, both the simple and Cory Ness Jackpot motorcycles are exactly the same. Style is what sets these two models apart, so we’ll have to start with the basics: designers had to pretty much come up with a work of art while maintaining the bike long (95.9 in / 2,435 mm), low (5.3 in / 135 mm ground clearance) and sleek (just look at it). You get a 25.7 in / 653 mm seat height and that, together with the 652 lbs (296 kg) dry weight should make the thing quite maneuverable.

Victory uses the same 43mm conventional telescopic fork and single, mono-tube gas, cast aluminum with rising rate linkage, preload adjustable spring suspension on all of their cruisers and customs, the only thing that differs from model to model being wheel travel. In this case, the front benefits of 5.1 in/130 mm of travel, while the rear only gets 3.0 in/76 mm of travel. The actual wheels are custom Anvil Billet units measuring 21 inches in diameter up front and 18 inches at the rear. On each one, there is a 300mm floating rotor (with four-piston caliper front and two-piston caliper rear) but that’s most likely the last thing you’ll spot.

2010 Harley-Davidson FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide

It is enough to take a look at the 2010 Victory Jackpot to understand that this is no regular custom you’re dealing with, but a unique piece of engineering built with a lot of good taste to go up against a motorcycle model which is pretty hard to find given Victory’s diversified lineup. But in the end, Harley-Davidson’s all-new 2010 Dyna Wide Glide stands out as the proper bike to compare the Jackpots with. Also low and mean, this Harley has the air-cooled, twin cam 96 engine to put up against Victory’s big twin and weighs in at 647 lbs (293.48 kg) dry. The seat is even lower - 25.50 in. (647.70 mm) - and you also get Harley’s six-speed cruise drive transmission and that helps riders keep things interesting down the open road.

Custom bikes are supposed to have a wide rear tire (250mm in this case) and custom rims, so while we’re familiar with Victory’s refined multi LED taillight and custom two-tone headlight, we’ll just go ahead and say what’s so special about the shape of the 2010 Jackpot: the tip-to-tail spine as well as the custom-inspired paint (Solid Black and Tequila Gold w/ Extreme Graphics) and the color matched frame. Victory quality build and excellent fit and finish make sure no Jackpot will pass unnoticed.

7. 2010 Victory Cory Ness Jackpot
2010 Victory Cory Ness Jackpot

On the 2010 Victory Cory Ness Jackpot, you do get the feel that this is a bike that got as special as it could get and it is all due to the multitude of features that make it limited: diamond-cut cylinder heads, numbered badges, custom-stitched seats, chrome Ness grips and mirrors as well as Ness billet wheels and engine covers and Ness footpegs. These are all little things that, together, add a special feel to the bike, but the still first thing that strikes you is the custom Ness paint and graphics. We like the "Evil 7" billet wheels more than those on the standard bike, but the bike looks too loaded with graphics in our opinion.

It seems that Victory can’t get enough of delivering custom motorcycles that set new standards in their categories. Despite being powered by the same engine, the style is different and that’s how the Jackpot and Cory Ness Jackpot stand out. And if we give a second thought to this fact, we realize that this is also how custom bike manufacturers and chopper builders use to get the job done as well.
