QUOTES
Motorcycle-usa ---- "Victory has a potential hit on its hands with the Boardwalk. The motorcycle melds modern style with classic lines for one of the best-looking Victory Cruisers to date. The Freedom 106/6 drivetrain is an excellent fit for what this machine is intended for and will give riders the performance they seek when the itch for a short blast down the boulevard strikes. It's comfortable for a low-slung, wide-barred V-Twin and checks the appropriate boxes to make it a desirable American-made cruiser. "
Cycleworld ---- "But “the widest bar on any Victory motorcycle” means diminished returns the faster you go as you troll homeward on Highway 101: 65 mph registers a nice, relaxing 2400 rpm on the digital tach (which shares space with a clock and other functions), but anything much faster becomes an aerodynamic battle. Luckily, there are accessory Lock & Ride windshields, saddlebags, sissybars, etc., available—not to mention heated grips and cruise control. And the newly enlarged, 4.7-gallon gas tank should give the bike considerable range."
Ridermegazine ---- "Powering the Boardwalk is the same air/oil-cooled 106ci Freedom V-twin found in all Victorys. In the Judge, it cranked out 84 horsepower and 102.7 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheel. Throttle response is direct, acceleration swift. Counterbalanced for smoothness, the engine transmits the muscular sound and feel that cruiser riders expect. The cable-actuated clutch has good engagement, the 6-speed transmission shifts smoothly and the two disc brakes provide decent stopping power."
Motorcycle ---- "In other news, Victory announced at the Boardwalk press introduction that it has lured Ian O’Reilly away from Triumph to restructure and restyle the company’s apparel products. O’Reilly was employed with Triumph for more than a decade and is responsible for creating Triumph’s reputation for quality motorcycle apparel. The items on display at the Boardwalk event represented O’Reilly’s attention to detail, fashion and protection. Look for good things to come in the way of Victory branded apparel."
