Design
The Raider X1900 has been designed with incredible attention paid to the little details. From front to back, the 2011 Yamaha Raider is loaded with "custom" inspired parts, including a stretched out fork, a fat rear tire, a low seat, and an aggressive, slammed riding position to complement its "chopper-inspired" blacked-out styling details.
The Raider XV19000 also comes with a comprehensive instrumentation that includes an analog speedometer and fuel gauge with low fuel warning light, plus a digital odometer, dual tripmeters, fuel reserve trip counter, and clock. Background illumination on the instrument panel can be adjusted to suit personal preferences.
Performance
In terms of performance, the Raider XV1900 is powered by a 1854cc air-cooled, long-stroke, OHV, 4 valves per cylinder, 48°, V-twin engine that produces massive torque and class leading acceleration from very low rpms. Maximum torque occurs at 2,500 rpm while maximum power occurs at 4,500 rpm, providing exciting acceleration with great pulse and torque feel. The bike carries traditional pushrod valve actuation that keeps engine height down for a lower center of gravity, ensuring more uniform heat dissipation due to absence of a cam chain case. It also ensures light and easy handling. The accompanying pistons are both durable and lightweight, featuring an Alumite coating to reduce friction. A computer-controlled, twin-bore, fuel injection monitors multiple engine parameters to calculate perfect mixture under all conditions while a 3.5-liter airbox is hidden in the area below the fuel tank for great performance and clean styling.
Chassis and Suspension
The Yamaha Raider XV1900 features a high tech, cast aluminum double-cradle frame that reduces weight, while balancing the bike's overall strength and rigidity. The frame not only provides excellent handling characteristics, but also compliments the beautiful flowing lines of the entire machine. Likewise, a lightweight C.F. die cast aluminum swingarm offers superb rigidity and ensures excellent stability and handling while an equally sturdy 46mm Kayaba front fork offers 5.1" of wheel travel for exceptionally stable handling and great ride comfort. A 6-degree yoke angle—the first ever on a street-legal Star Motorcycle—makes it possible to achieve that custom look that riders love so much. A pair of 298mm front discs squeezed by strong monoblock calipers for excellent power and feel, with a 310mm disc out back.

Quotes
Motorcycle ---- "You are looking at a new generation of custom cruisers"
Red Bluff Yamaha ---- "The Raider was inspired by the custom chopper movement, but since it’s a Star, it had to also handle, stop and go"
G Force Powersport ---- "If you want totally custom but would rather ride than wrench, have a look at the Star Raider. The 113-cubic-inch fuel-injected V-twin engine that powers it takes a back seat to no V-twin when it comes to power and reliability."
Gregoisport ---- "Customized...right out of the crate! When the engineers at Yamaha set out to produce a true custom machine, the easy part was the styling and attention to detail. The trick was to combine "chopper"-inspired styling with a chassis that would offer superior handling"
