The Yamaha YFZ450R SE is an agile ATV especially developed for racing. It features sharp handling, a tight suspension and a high-tech engine, all working together to reward its rider with the purest riding experience on four wheels.

At the heart of the YZF450R SE lies a 442cc, 32-bit fuel injected engine, mated on a 5 speed gearbox with manual clutch. The ride is kept in check by a long-travel suspension, which lets the tyres maintain longer and more consistent ground contact. Up front, the ATV received independent front suspension, so the movement of each front wheel is not affected by the other. The rear axle is supervised by a cast aluminium swingarm, threaded preload adjustable coil-over springs and a 3-way adjustable damper.

The ergonomy department is also pretty good represented, the YFZ450R featuring a comfortable seat, adjustable handlebars and a set of convenient side panels which provide a comfortable grip for knees.

Precision engine design

The 4-stroke engines used in Yamaha ATVs are designed to give you high levels of torque at low and mid-range rpm The result is increased traction - on all kinds of terrain.

Electronic Fuel Injection

The YFZ450R employs fuel injection for precise fuel delivery. With a 42mm Mikuni® throttle body and 12-hole injector, this system provides exceptional atomisation of the fuel for maximum power. The system also includes ISC (Idle Speed Control) for easy, reliable start-up and warming.

Hybrid chassis engineering

Yamaha Sports ATVs use both steel and aluminium in their chassis. These 'Hybrid chassis' frames and swing arms combine maximum strength with class-leading low weight.

Effortless transmission

The YFZ450R has a 5-speed gearbox. Selecting gears using the proven and familiar foot lever/hand clutch system lets you smoothly shift between ratios. The throttle lever requires low effort and is comfortable to use.

Long travel adjustable suspension

With long-travel suspension, tyres maintain longer and more consistent ground contact - even on uneven terrain. With independent front suspension, the movement of each front wheel is not affected by the other. This improves handling by allowing the ATV to track bumpy terrain more accurately and remain in a level, controlled posture.

Ergonomic design

The YFZ450R works in perfect harmony with a rider. While the design offers maximum room to move around and hang off in corners, side panels provide a comfortable grip for knees. 4-position adjustable handlebars accommodate different body sizes, ride styles and circumstances.
