The Yamaha FZ8 feels the gap between the 600 cc and 1000 cc motorcycles and is powered by a sporty liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, forward-inclined parallel 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 779cc.

For enhanced performances the engine includes first class components such as ceramic-composite-coated cylinders, forged aluminum pistons, and an optimized crankshaft.
As far as ergonomics are concerned, the motorcycle features a slim seat, low handle bars and perfectly placed footpegs which combine to delivers a comfortable, upright riding position.

A wave of brutal low- to mid-range torque makes for awesome acceleration. And when the needle heads towards the red line, it's time to hold on tight!
Slicing through mountain passes or powering along the highway, the ultra-light aluminium Deltabox chassis delivers razor-sharp handling with solid high-speed stability. And with new adjustable front and rear suspension, you can dial in the ideal set up.

2014 Yamaha FZ8 Features and Benefits:
Aggressive, mass-forward design
Just look at the FZ8 and you'll see that this is one bike that nobody should mess with! As well as giving this naked sports bike an aggressive 'ready to pounce' stance, the mass-forward design helps to centralise mass for enhanced handling. And with its powder-coated black chassis and glistening jet-black engine, the FZ8 means business.
High-performance 779cc engine
The 779cc inline 4-cylinder powerplant is one very special design that's packed with performance-enhancing supersport technology. Equipped with forged pistons, a free-breathing 4-into-1 exhaust and a highly efficient fuel injection system, this slant-block engine kicks out impressive levels of low-down torque combined with thrilling top-end power.
Adjustable front and rear suspension
The FZ8 is more than a high-performance sports bike - it's also built to deliver everyday versatility. So we've equipped this naked all-rounder with adjustable front and rear suspension systems giving 130 mm travel at each end, allowing you to fine-tune the chassis to suit different loads, riding styles and conditions.
Aluminium Deltabox frame
Yamaha's Deltabox frame is one of the most advanced chassis designs in the industry. By combining low weight with high levels of rigidity, the FZ8's satin-black aluminium frame brings supersport levels of handling and stability to the sports bike category. And for low unsprung weight, the FZ8 runs with a high-tech CF die-cast aluminium swing arm.
Relaxed ergonomics
Although the FZ8 is a full-on performance bike in terms of its engine and chassis characteristics, you'll be pleasantly surprised when you check out the riding position. With its slim fuel tank and carefully positioned footrests and handlebars, this aggressively-styled sports bike has a relaxed riding position with plenty of space to move about.
