It’s time to get your motor running as the Vancouver Motorcycle Show returns to Abbotsford’s Tradex building this weekend. The show, which runs Jan. 25-28, features the launch of the new 2007 models from such names as Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson and more. The show also includes stunt riding (right) and plenty of interactive displays to please every motorcycle fan.


Major motorcycle manufacturers will launch their new 2007 models at the Vancouver Motorcycle Show – Canada’s largest bike trade show – taking place in Abbotsford at the Tradex complex on Jan. 25-28.


With more than 200 exhibitors, including all major bike manufacturers, the Vancouver Motorcycle Show is expected to draw more than 40,000 motorcycle enthusiasts from around the Pacific Northwest.


Manufacturers unveiling new 2007 models include: Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, BMW, MotoGuzzi, Ducati, Buell, Victory, Aprilia, KTM, Vespa, Hyosung, Ural, Arctic Cat and Bombardier.


In addition to the big bikes, scooter manufacturers will be in attendance to represent the increasingly popular market segment.


Major product launches will include:

  • Kawasaki’s new Councors14 touring bike with ABS and electrically adjustable windshield;
  • The all-new Yamaha V-Star 1300 cruiser;
  • The redesigned Yamaha WR450 and WR250 race-ready enduro bikes;
  • Yamaha’s economical and environmentally friendly C3 50 scooter;
  • Vespa’s Derbi City, Bullet and Boulevard;
  • The three-wheeled Piaggio MP3 scooter;
  • Ducati’s newest offering from Milan, the 1098 Superbike.

Displays and shows include the fifth Gear Stunt Riders, the Yamaha Riding Academy, ATV and trials demos, Custom Alley and the Vintage Area produced by the Classic Owners Club.


Contests and prizes up for grabs include a Grand Prize choice of one of four Yamahas, a six-day British Columbia road trip and various other motorcycles, scooters, trips and accessories.


Admission to the show is $11 for adults, $6 for juniors age six to 15 and free for children under six. Families packs (two adults and two juniors) are $24.


The Vancouver Motorcycle Show is part of the Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council (MMIC) owned shows that bring leading manufacturers, distributors and dealers together to launch their 2007 product lines.
