Apparently, the rider of this Yamaha R6 was riding on LA’s Mulholland highway, also known as “the Snake,” this past weekend when he crashed as a result of a highside and the bike immediately caught fire. First attempts to extinguish the fire were in vain, so the owner simply watched his bike burning until it remained only frame and engine. Now that’s a sad moment for any biker out there. Let’s just hope that his insurance covers that.
The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning has just released a motorcycle safety ad advising you to “ride safe so you can ride again.” That is if you don’t have a fairy godmother to take care of you.

Recently gunned down in his Puerto Rico native, 22-year-old David Morales Colón benefits of a very unusual wake on his Honda CBR600 F4 Repsol edition. Wearing casual clothing and sun glasses, the embalmed dead man looks like he’s worming up for a ride on his bike.

This Hildebrand & Wolfmüller is the world’s first-ever patented motorcycle and it recently sold at auction for $131,200. Made in Germany, the motorrad is powered by a 1488cc four-stroke twin engine developing an impressive for the time 2.5 hp at 240rpm. Weighing around 132 pounds and reaching a top speed of approximately 31 mph, this was the time’s only and best mechanical horse around. And it showed german ingenuity. For instance, the water needed for cooling the engine was held in the rear fender, while the transmission system is similar to that of a locomotive.

It looks like the guys at Moto Tech in Miami sure know how to promote their services as we just came across one of their videos showing a hot blonde performing a dyno test on one of their Ducati superbikes. Obviously, she wasn’t wearing much and we won’t go as far as calling it a motorcycle expert (the video tries to induce she actually is) although we have to admit this is one of the few motorcycle babe videos in which the girl shows off some skills. Congrats for that!
It looks like Castrol is willing to pay a great deal of money to celebrities such as Cristiano Ronaldo to help promote their lubricants. In this recent TV ad, they’re somehow trying to make a connection between their Castrol Power 1, a Honda CBR600RR and football. You decide if everything turns out for the best as we’re just surprised to see a motorcycle being used to play football with for the first time.
