When it comes to affordable scooters, Kymco is one of the most popular manufacturers. And there is no wonder why, as its models have a pretty decent built quality and have a lower price than their Japanese counterparts.

The Kymco G-Dink 125 makes no exception. Priced around 3200 Euro, this modern scooter offers a lot of value for its money. It is propelled by a 124.6 cc, 4 stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine which delivers a maximum power of 8.7 kw at 7500 rpm and 10.9 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. The engine need to deal with a dry weight of 140kg and its power is kept under control by a CVT transmission.

Other features offered by the Kymco G-Dink 125 include a comfy seat with a spacious loading space underneath it, a big headlight with compact with LED position lights and winkers, a LED tail lamp, an engine stop switch and foldable passenger footrests.

The Yamaha Tricity has been fully revealed by the Japanese manufacturer. The new model has a three wheels configuration and is the first one of its kind produced by Yamaha.

Thanks to its innovative front axle which can keep the two wheels parallel when the scooter is angled, the Tricity can deal great even with the tight turns. Its three wheels configuration also helps it stay better planted on its wheels so it is more stable than a conventional two wheel scooter.

At its heart lies a 125cc four-stroke engine, which transfers its power to the rear wheel by means of a continuously variable transmission.

The scooter weighs 152 kg (335 lbs) wet, and is fitted with a 6.6-liter (1.74 US gal) fuel tank.

For the moment, the new Yamaha Tricity is available only on the European market and has a starting price of 4,000 Euros ($5,522).

The Kymco Downtown 125i shares the same design with the Downtown 300, but it is powered by a smaller displacement unit namely a 124.8cc, 4 stroke OHC, liquid cooled unit which puts out a maximum power of 14.7 Ps at 9000 rpm (ps/rpm) and 11.6 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm.

As far as practicality is concerned, the Kymco Downtown 125i is equipped with a generous under-seat storage place which can swallow two full face helmets and a front glove box which includes a 12-volt battery charger.

The scooter rides on 14 inch front and 13 inch rear rims which are wrapped in 120/80-14 and 150/70-13 tubeless tires.
