The Yamaha Tricity has been fully revealed by the Japanese manufacturer. The new model has a three wheels configuration and is the first one of its kind produced by Yamaha.
Thanks to its innovative front axle which can keep the two wheels parallel when the scooter is angled, the Tricity can deal great even with the tight turns. Its three wheels configuration also helps it stay better planted on its wheels so it is more stable than a conventional two wheel scooter.
At its heart lies a 125cc four-stroke engine, which transfers its power to the rear wheel by means of a continuously variable transmission.
The scooter weighs 152 kg (335 lbs) wet, and is fitted with a 6.6-liter (1.74 US gal) fuel tank.
For the moment, the new Yamaha Tricity is available only on the European market and has a starting price of 4,000 Euros ($5,522).
