The friends at Motorevue speculate regarding a new naked model that Suzuki might launch at the beginning of 2010.
Inspired by the B-King and powered by a retuned GSX-R750 engine, the GSR750 (so it will be called) is supposed to rise as a fierce competitor both for Japanese and European naked motorcycles such as the Kawasaki Z750, Triumph Street Triple and Aprilia Shiver.
Those very same models indicate that there is a great demand for high performance nakeds, making this rendering very plausible.
The big question here is: would you buy such a Suzuki model?
Next year, Honda plans to release the VFR1200T not only as the Pan European replacement, but as the world’s most technologically-advanced motorcycle too. Because such a project is only undergone if the initial feedback is positive, the company has leaked the future bike’s sketches in an attempt to get an early start with the process. The friends from MCN were there to land a helping hand and now they speculate regarding the possible color schemes that the new VFR might receive.
The bike looks absolutely amazing regardless of the color schemes, but these do help in forming a better opinion of what Honda will create and so encourage people to mention what they think about what they see. So, what do you think about the 2010 Honda VRF1200T?
Designer Dario Caroselli has recently come up with a very aggressive naked motorcycle concept based on the Aprilia Shiver 750, a veritable Italian naked built around a V-twin engine. Called simply Aprilia Naked, the concept bike features compact bodywork and solo seat, while being defined by the lines and color schemes of the original bike.
We’re quite impressed by this concept although we must admit that it isn’t quite in strict accordance with the naked style, but simply a production bike taken to the extreme.
Design guru Oberdan Bezzi has come up with a very interesting Bavarian adventure touring rendering, one that is imagined to replace the current BMW R 1200 GS.
The Italian designer sees in the R 1250 GS as a totally new motorcycle to take around the world, one with sport-touring credentials and sharper looks. The bigger Boxer engine is supposed to develop 120hp, while the bike weighs 18kg (39.68 lbs) less than the current selling one and relies on totally different weight distribution and shorter wheelbase than ever before.
We can’t help noticing the underseat exhaust and much more compact overall look, which is what riders expect from their million miles motorcycle.
MCN today published what’s most likely the year’s biggest leakage, the new 1200cc Honda V4 model, the bike that will replace the current VFR800 but also fill in the gap left by the disappearance of the CBR 1100 XX model.
Although Honda is in full process of probing potential buyers regarding the design and characteristics of this new concept, the British journalists unveil at least one of the final versions derived from it.
As seen, the new Honda sport tourer is built in strict accordance with the original V4 concept, which was unveiled at last year’s Intermot Show in Cologne.
While the technical details are yet to be revealed, the new engine is supposed to benefit of a revolutionary technology that is capable to stop the rear cylinders from working, allowing the V4 to run using only the front cylinders, dramatically reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
leftlanenews.com presents various spy shots of the new Honda model, which confirm MCN’s rendering. We can’t help noticing the more than decent wheelbase, the spacious seat, single-sided shaft drive and the unique shape of the headlight. Considering the powerful V4 motor, Honda’s latest creation stands all the chances to compete with the BMW K 1300 S.
Holywood megastar Brad Pitt was spotted riding his custom-built motorcycle around Los Angeles.
These snapped pictures speak about the actor’s passion for clean and simple custom bikes, but not that much for equipment. In fact, the 45-year-old rider doesn’t wear more than a helmet and gloves, so you go ahead and comment if that’s the recommended thing to do, even after finishing work at a new film called ’Inglourious Basterds’.

Honda’s Senior Managing Director Shigeru Takagi told MCN that the much-awaited Honda V4 will be unveiled this autumn and see dealerships in spring 2010. Also, while celebrating Honda’s 50 years of racing at the Isle of Man TT, Honda boss referred to the bike as being a “new breed of Honda”.
Takagi said: “We really believe we can develop a new era starting with this V4-powered machine. It is just the beginning and represents a new breed of Honda which will define Honda’s own taste and styling.
“This bike will be the perfect road machine that Honda customers have called for. It will be an epoch-making machine and more bikes from the V4 platform are possible.
“We know people think this bike is going to be a replacement for the VFR800 and the Blackbird but we do not see this bike as a replacement for anything. We see it as an all-new breed of machine, something very special.”
“The finished V4-powered machine will be seen in autumn 2009. The bike will be on sale in spring 2010.
"The bike is different to the concept shown for the first time at Milan in 2009 but the link between them is very clear to see.”
Those who were wondering what more could there be changed at Yamaha motocross bikes in order to improve performance are most likely to receive their answer with a single look at this spy picture of the 2010 Yamaha YZ450F reverse-cylinder.
This Powerpoint rendering shows how the new construction method allows the bottom end of the engine to move forward in the chassis, improving weight distribution and enhancing handling. This way, the exhaust pipe has a straight path towards the silencer and doesn’t need to be taken in consideration when doing the math for the front wheel clearance and also the inlet tract can be simply redesigned to go straight from the fuel injector to the combustion chamber. It even makes us wonder why Yamaha didn’t consider this possibility for the YZ450F so far.
Yamaha is supposed to unveil the completely new dirt bike within the next months and we reckon that it will blow away the competition.
According to MotoRevue, Kawasaki plans to revamp their Z 1000 streetfighter, which will be soon presented.
The bike is supposed to be powered by the latest ZX-10R engine, replacing the one developed from the much older ZX-9R. The extra horsepower and torque sure has to be celebrated with a radical, even sharper design and this rendering by Jérôme Vannesson shows just how the next generation model might look. We can only hope it will do so.
Italian website”Infomotori” states that Aprilia is working on a new, high-capacity adventure tourer, which could make a first official entry at this year’s EICMA International Saloon in Milan. Apparently, the bike is already developed, at least enough to make it possible for it to be tested on the streets of Italy next to a KTM 990 Adventure and be spotted by the same motorcycle journalists.
These first images represent the attempt of design guru Luca Bar to retrace as much as possible the lines of the new model, which, unlike the Caponord, is supposed to do as well off the road as it does on it. The engine is supposed to be a 1,200 cc V-twin which is expected to power the future Shiver/Dorsoduro 1200 as well.
