The accident occurred during tests for the Detroit AMA Supercross race and people who assisted to it actually thought that Chad Reed’s career had come to its ending point. Not so much because of the fairly common dynamic of the accident, but because of the sprained shoulder and the internal bleeding (luckily not so serious). The Australian’s state of health is thankfully stable.

The MDK KTM riders said they were going to get on the podium at the opening round of the East Coast Lites Series and they proved they could this weekend. MDK KTM Factory rider Martin Davalos and MDK KTM Lites rider Ryan Sipes finished in the top three in their heat and repeated those results in the main. Rockstar Makita Suzuki Factory Racing’s Ryan Dungey started out the 2008 AMA Supercross season in style by winning the first round in the Supercross Lites class at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, on Saturday night. Dungey battled the elements as well as the competition, racing his Rockstar Makita Suzuki RM-Z250 in swamp-like conditions to take the win in his six-lap qualifying heat race as well as the victory in the 15-lap SX Lites main event. The 2007 Supercross Tour got to its end last week end in Lyon. Husqvarna brand new rider Christophe Martin surprised audience with his incredible skills that leaded him to the third final place. It has only been a few months since the French rider started to train with his new TC 450 2008, but he seem to have immediately found a great feeling with it. In the race held last Saturday, Christophe got the third place almost immediately and managed to keep the position until the chequered flag. (...)

What a difference a year makes! In December 2006, BMW Motorrad made a small display of its enduro models in the trade area of the Super Cross-Over event in Munich, with the realisation that its future customers would be found at exhibition races such as this. Fast-forward to December 2007 and things have moved on considerably. Rockstar/WBR/Suzuki Team Owner Brad Williams confirmed today that newly signed Andrew McFarlane has undergone surgery for a broken arm and is recovering at home. The incident occurred Wednesday at the Lake Elsinore MX Park in California. McFarlane was coming out of a whoops section, skipping the last few, when he got out of shape and crashed on the face of the next triple.
