Since MotoGP returns to 1000cc starting 2012, Ducati is thinking about creating a new Desmosedici RR, which will have to be sold in a limited run. This will supposedly be a carbon-framed model and also considering the significantly larger displacement engine, we can’t even dare thinking about the price of the new Desmo following the 2008 original one, which remains in history as one of the greatest race replicas to come out of the factory gates in Bologna. Remember: 197bhp/171kg!
As announced, Fiat Yamaha team has today taken the wraps off the 2010 MotoGP bikes at Sepang before the first official tests of the new racing season. Looking at the new liveries, we have to admit there isn’t anything to make our jaws drop, but nothing wrong either…apart from the ‘stuck in 2009’ part.
Racing riders Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo were there and posed with their pit crews before taking the action to the actual track. More pictures after the jump.
The combinations between sexy chicks and supersport motorcycles are some of the very few things that leave bikers speechless and today’s proposal is that between Andreea and the middleweight Ninja. You can read more about the bike here , so we’ll focus on what you’re really interested, the hot chick next to the green track blast. Andreea is a 20-year-old model studying in Prague, Czech. She does seem passionate about motorcycles, but they all do when the photographers get into action. Making this combination successful are the proportions of both characters involved. More pictures after the jump.
On Thursday February 4 at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia, the Fiat Yamaha team will be unveiling their 2010 YZR-M1, so 2009’s championship winning team has released a video teaser ahead of the event. Riders Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo (present in the video) will first unveil the team’s new livery and then get on the bikes for the first official 2010 tests. Good luck in 2010 boys!
In 2010, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R follows the trajectory of the previous year’s ZX-10R model and comes with the same engine and chassis refinements, the first for more power and torque and the second for sharper handling around the corners. Also, the bike is designed like its bigger sibling, leaving no clear visual difference between the two Kawasaki models.
Getting in contact with a candidate for the “Ultimate Superbike” title can be a mind blowing experience, especially if you’re suppose to ride the hell out of the thing, but the 2010 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 adds a little more to that feel. It’s all about the imposing dimensions and the constant thought of knowing that underneath you grumbles this manufacturer’s biggest and most evolved motor to be mounted on a superbike-type motorcycle.
US stunt rider Chris McNeil recently got his skillful hands on a pair of new wheels and smoked the hell out of them. More precisely, he performed slides, stunts and wheelies on BMW’s superbike, the 190bhp S1000RR .
The bike appears to be adequate for such a rough treatment as in a very short amount of time McNeil managed to do great part of his worming up routine. Watch the video after the break.
In a recent post we shown you how a motorcycle highside can end with the rider being thrown over a guardrail and we now came across a video showing another rider’s interaction with a guardrail, this time as a result of shifting error.
Apparently, this rider had a few successful runs on his Honda CBR600RR, but he then downshifts too late going into a turn. The rider attempts to brake but ends up in the guardrail after his front wheel locks up.
You really can’t compare a woman’s beauty with that of a motorcycle, but when we saw the pictures of the Aprilia RSV4 and Klara, we thought it’s at least worth giving it a try. The first has a strong heart of 180 beats at 12,500 rpm, it was born in 2009 and benefits of no less than 115 Nm of torque. The second measures 83-60-90, 5.7ft and it is 19 years old.
Yes, that’s an awful comparison indeed, but we’re happy to see we cannot say the same thing about these pictures showing both “characters” together. Enjoy!
Yamaha has today made public the first picture of the all-new 2010 FZ8 Fazer. The Japanese maker will be taking the wraps off their new middleweight half-faired supersport in May this year and wave good bye to the FZ6 Fazer .
They’re following the same teasing procedure as with the FZ8 naked, which will replace the FZ6 naked in Europe, but at least that first teaser picture made us really think we’re dealing with a completely new bike, while this one is a pure reminder of the model it replaces.
