Alex de Angelis was warming up for the Moto2 race at Jerez a couple of weekends back when his bike engaged into a highside, sending him rolling end-over-end on the side of the track. From what this leaked video shows, you’ll have all the reasons to think that de Angelis couldn’t have survived this and we totally agree, except he did. The RSM Team Scot rider even managed to walk away unharmed from his incredible crash and was willing, but not allowed by circuit doctors to participate in the race. Video after the jump.

Earlier this year we announced the unveiling of an all-new motorcycle joining Yamaha’s supersport family, the Fazer8 as it will be called in Europe, its targeted continent. A middleweight model powered by a 799cc inline-four engine, the 2010 Yamaha Fazer8 has come to replace the FZ6 model and it does it in the characteristic style of the series, meaning you get a half fairing and the bike finds itself positioned on the thin line between track-gained performance and a comfortable riding position.

We feel sorry for the discontinued FZ6 – which we happen to like a lot – but can’t wait to take the FZ8 for a spin. Meanwhile, let’s see what this new bike is all about.

Yamaha has adopted a rather cautious strategy for 2010 and the FZ1 is definitely one of their sports motorcycles to show that very clearly as it comes with revised ECU mapping and new colors. Yet, they plan on successfully selling it for being “an upright R1” and that couldn’t recommend this model more.

Faced with the task of calling the YZF-R6 a 2010 model year, Yamaha proceeded to find ways of setting the bike apart from the current selling one both visually and technically, but we have to say that you shouldn’t expect major changes from any point of view. The truth is that Yamaha already had a 2009 Daytona 200 winner on their hands, so they focused on little tweaks to make it even more special.

There is simply no way that the Aprilia RS125 could look better than with this gorgeous brunette girl alongside it. Why? Take a trip to Italy and you’ll see exactly this kind of babe either riding the bike or sitting at the back as passenger. The idea of combining these two beauties is just right and very realistic.

Jorge Lorenzo won the Spanish Grand Prix after a spectacular duel with Dani Pedrosa in the final lap of the Jerez MotoGP. Teammate Valentino Rossi was the third to pass the finish line.

Honda rider Dani Pedrosa set off from pole-position and pretty much dominated the Jerez race until, with six laps before the checker flag, Jorge Lorenzo came strong from behind and finally claimed the first place on the podium during the race’s final lap. Read the race results after the jump.

Yamaha’s 2010 motorcycle lineup includes their unchanged MotoGP-derived YZF-R1 and a Limited Edition YZF-R1 Valentino Rossi replica. This last comes in an exciting Valentino Rossi/Fiat Yamaha Yamaha livery with the number "46" and "The Doctor" logos, as well as with the MotoGP star’s signature on the fuel tank.

Valentino Rossi added the 2009 MotoGP Championship to his long list of wins and this Limited Edition bike is a tribute to the Fiat Yamaha Team rider. The race replica bike is now available at a starting MSRP of $14,500. Those who satisfy with the standard model, which is available in Raven, Pearl White and Team Yamaha Blue/White, will be happy to find that the bike has an MSRP of $13,290. Hit the jump to see what Yamaha and the motorcycle press have to say about the YZF-R1.

Apparently, the rider of this Yamaha R6 was riding on LA’s Mulholland highway, also known as “the Snake,” this past weekend when he crashed as a result of a highside and the bike immediately caught fire. First attempts to extinguish the fire were in vain, so the owner simply watched his bike burning until it remained only frame and engine. Now that’s a sad moment for any biker out there. Let’s just hope that his insurance covers that.

If history has taught us anything, it’s that anything is possible, even if your time here on this planet is up.

You’ve probably heard of this piece of news by now and for what it’s worth, it’s still a little too hard to believe. If you haven’t heard of it, then please, by all means, keep on reading.

David Morales Colon, a 22-year old Puerto Rican, was gunned down last week and, while we feel bad for the family he left behind, we can’t help but be amazed on how Colon’s family decided to send-off their beloved David.

Go to the funeral service for David and you’re bound to get the shock of your life. Not only is there no casket, or urn for that matter, but as soon as you walk in the funeral home, you’ll be greeted by the sight of David himself dressed in a long-sleeved shirt, jeans, a hat, and a pair of sunglasses. And, oh yeah, he’s riding aHonda CBR600 F4 . The only thing is, David’s actually dead.

If you think that is a little strange then you are absolutely right, but apparently the motorcycle was a gift to David from his uncle and his family delivered it personally to the funeral home.

Incidentally, the funeral home where David is "riding" is also the same funeral home that prepared Ángel Luis "Pedrito" Pantojas Medina, a man that was shot 11 times. This man made a very special request before passing; he requested that his wake be held in his own home while wearing his favorite clothes. That is not the strange part. He also wanted to attend the wake standing up. This feat was accomplished b ythe funeral home employees by tying the corpse at the waist, torso, and head. Eerie.

Anyway, check out the video of David after the jump.

As hard as it may be to believe, this guy is taking a ride on that freeway in the sky. Recently gunned down in his Puerto Rico native, 22-year-old David Morales Colón benefits of a very unusual wake on his Honda CBR600 F4 Repsol edition. Wearing casual clothing and sun glasses, the embalmed dead man looks like he’s worming up for a ride on his bike.

The same funeral home that made this happen is also responsible for another young shooting victim that was displayed standing up during the wake a couple of years back. What next? See the video after the jump.
