Together with the Indian Chief Classic and the Chief Vintage, the Chief Dark Horse is one of three Indian Motorcycle models that will be offered for 2012.

Of the three, you could make a case that the sexiest of the lot is the Chief Dark Horse, which comes with a matte black finish, a classic painted Indian headdress logo on the tank, a two-into-one stainless steel exhaust, a color-matched, die-cast console, a matte black teardrop headlight, smoke black (matte) rims, and a tank-mounted speedometer with controls.

As far as performance goes, the Chief Dark Horse carries the same engine as its brethren: a Powerplus 105 cubic-inch air-cooled V-twin engine with closed loop sequential port fuel injection, six-speed transmission, and belt final drive. In addition, all of those also have Brembo triple-disc brakes, 5.5-gallon fuel tanks, dual 12V accessory outlets, and claimed dry weights around 750 pounds.

The Chief Dark Horse retails for $27,999 and comes with a two-year warranty. Needless to say, it’s the kind of bike that owners will have no regrets buying.

Yamaha India has officially launched the SS 125, the company’s 125 cc segment offering. Dressed with stylish and impressive looks, the SS 125 was designed to specifically cater to the youth market of India.

There’s nothing outwardly spectacular about the bike. The Yamaha SS 125 comes with 123 cc four stroke, forward inclined, single cylinder with SOHC valve configuration. The engine on this bike provides as much as 11 horsepower at 7,500 rpm with 10.4 Nm (7.7 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine also comes with a Yamaha Throttle Position Sensor (YTPS) that delivers stupendous standing acceleration.

On top of that, the bike is complemented with a front telescopic fork and rear swing arm suspension system, allowing you to get more out of your 13.6 liters of maximum fuel tank. To ensure greater stability on road, the machine sports a larger wheelbase of 1295mm.

Yamaha India has launched a new model from its very stylish and classy SZ variants. This bike is called the SZX and it is poised to attract the huge mass’ attention.

The Yamaha SZX comes with an attractive and elegant body, and that’s putting it lightly. The design of Yamaha SZX looks much better than the SZ in part because of the dual tone graphics, the paint scheme, and the fuel tank covers. As far as charisma and appeal are concerned, the SZX has all that and more. The new style bike is also available in three outstanding colors including royal black,

Then there’s the engine. The SZX is powered by an all-new 153cc 4-stroke air-cooled, SOHC single cylinder engine that has been tuned for maximum performance. Extra power can be achieved in the low to mid-speed range, ensuring a stress-free ride on all kinds of roads. The bike is also equipped with an AI System and a large-capacity muffler with catalyzer for cleaner exhaust.

The 2012 Indian Chief Vintage carries the same elements of the 1840 Chief, the bike it is based on. From the the two-tone paint schemes based on the 1948 Chief, to the chrome Indian tank badge, and the fender light that will bring you back to the era where the Indian Chief ruled the highway, the new Chief Vintage is the perfect antidote to your nostalgia.

The design of the bike is straight out of a time machine. Great tan leather with fringe wraps the solo seat and saddlebags to create a distinctive nostalgic look in the Chief Vintage. It’s then complemented by b60-spoke chrome wheels with classic whitewall tires, resulting in a more complete vintage appearance. Suffice to say, the Indian Chief Vintage is a minimalist’s retro bagger.

Other styling touches done on the new Chief Vintage include fully fringed bags and deeply valanced fenders. This is the Indian bagger for the rugged individualist. Braving the elements, which are protected only by a windshield, will bring you a Power Plus 105 cubic inch powerplant that stretches its legs through a six-speed transmission.

In 2011, Yamaha India made some serious waves in the Indian motorcycle market with the release of the FZ16, FZS, Fazer, and YZF R15. Following the remarkable release of some of the best bikes to enter the market, Yamaha is upping the ante with the launch of the Fazer 250cc. The bike, for all intents and purposes, is Yamaha’s next step in reaching for the success of the 250cc segment.

The all new Yamaha Fazer 250cc is expected to be powered by a newly designed 153cc air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, single-cylinder, 2-valve engine. The engine is capable of producing 14 horsepower and a max torque of 13.6 Nm (10 lb-ft).

Just like the FZ16 and FZ-S, the Yamaha Fazer carries the Monocross suspension, a technology that ensures agile running performance and handling. The placement of this model’s ‘MidShip Muffler’ toward the center of the machine provides the right kind of weight balance that makes for an efficient ride. Add that to the bike’s “140/60-17” size rear radial tire with a 60% aspect ratio and it all makes for a bike that comes with enough power, better grip, and handling stability.

Very rarely do you see a bike like the Yamaha FZS get described as "macho," but all that notwithstanding, this one does come with sporty good looks and an eye-catching design. Put one and one together and you have a product that just speaks to you.

The first great design from the FZS comes from the lower naked part of the bike, particularly in the chain and engine, which have no covers. From there, you can take a good look at the bike’s Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) console, which comes with a plethora of high-tech features, including a digital speedometer, a tachometer, a trip meter, a fuel gauge, and other indicators. While the LCD dashboard is similar to what Yamaha FZ-16 has, one noticeable difference between the two is that the FZS looks a lot bigger, thanks in part to its front fairing. Moreover, the logo of Yamaha has been pasted on the airscoops while the bike logo is done the same on the tank.

Finally, the Yamaha FZS is powered by 150cc engine that produces in excess of 14 horsepower and 13.6 Nm (10 lb-ft) of torque.

Not everyone in India can afford the luxuries of high-end merchandise. That’s precisely why brands like Honda have taken it upon themselves to release products that are well within the budgets of its customer base. The Honda Dream Yuga, the cheapest bike in its variants in India, is one such model.

The Honda Dream Yuga carries a similar design to the Honda MegaPro, but the engine capacity in the Dream Yuga is different.

Fitted with a 110 cc engine, the Honda Dream Yuga is able to produce 8.5 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and is complemented by a four-speed transmission system. The Honda Dream Yuga has a simple body style, but carries fresh details, particularly the headlamp, the six-cross wheels, and a fuel injection system.

The bike also weighs only 108 kg (238 lbs), an important characteristic considering that it’s being marketed as an agile bike ready to tackle the streets of India. Fuel efficiency is another strong suit for the Dream Yuga; Honda even claims that the bike’s 8-liter capacity is capable of reading 544 kilometers (338 miles) on a full tank of fuel.

With nine horsepower on tap and a claimed mileage of 70kmpl (164 mpg), Honda’s new CB Twister promises to shake up the 100-125cc segment.

From its name, we can easily imply that the 110cc CB Twister is inspired by the bigger CB1000R. The core USP of this motorcycle is in its style, but the users will not only get their pleasure from its design, they also will get it from the features on this quintessential sports bike. You’ll feel content with the tubeless tires, the maintenance-free battery, and a viscous air filter which improves performance and reduces maintenance cost. Other features like the short muffler and the half chain are attributes that define how stylish this motorcycle is.

Though the styling of the Honda CB Twister was designed at Honda’s Italian design studio with the CB1000R as inspiration, the motorcycle is manufactured for the demanding Indian customer. Particularly, the bike seeks to meet the requirements of the Indian youngster in both rural and urban areas.

There are a lot of things about the refreshed Honda CB Shine that just, well, shine. In an effort to make the bike more interesting to the Indian market, Honda decided to give the CB Shine a number of new color choices, including Monsoon Grey Metallic and Force Silver Metallic. On top of that, Honda decided to fit the bike with tubeless tires that complement the six-black crossed wheels.

More than just handling and aesthetics, the CB Shine also comes with a 125 cc engine that produces 10.12 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 10.54 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is then complemented by a four-speed transmission with a multiple clutch, providing the kind of technical efficiency that has made it a popular model in India.

It’s not the kind of powerful bike that will own the road, but it’s lack of menacing stance isn’t considered a hindrance. Rather, the Honda CB Shine’s all-around versatility is the perfect answer for the traffic congested roads of India.

The Honda CBF Stunner may be characterized as a commuter bike, but the engineers of the company succeeded in giving it the requisites of being a sporty bike. So that now, the bike looks and performs like what a super cool sports bike should be all about.

For all of its impressive looks, there is some downside to the CBF Stunner PGM Fi. For one, you might be in for a little disappointment because the bike carries an analog dashboard that comprises of just a fuel gauge at the right dial, a trip meter and a speedometer at the left. Moreover, a mono-suspension, a fuel injection engine, aluminum foot pegs, and an LED tail lamp are all missing.

But if you can let all of that go, you can still enjoy a lot of the positive characteristics that should make this bike a hot item on the market. The tubeless tires at the front - 80/100 - and the rear - 90/100 - is the first of its sort to be fitted into a 125cc bike. Plus, there’s the presence of the five spoke black alloy wheels, which is always an aesthetic positive.

The CBF Stunner also comes with prototype of its category feature in the 125cc portion - a desegrated face cowl, sporty separate seats, a wider tubeless ring at the face, and the lateral for every variants and a sporty measure travel holder.
