Many of us dream of owning a motorcycle some day. Some of us want it for the pure thrill of riding, others because they consider it cool and many because they see it as a form of rebellion. Unfortunately not many of us achieve their secret dream and with every year that passes we slightly forget about that intense desire that once dominated our thoughts.

The Ducati Multi Strada 1200 S Touring is one of the most wanted models in its class. And there is no wonder why, as it delivers first class performances, faultless ergonomics and is reliable to the core. Moreover, thanks to a long list of special features it is also perfectly suited for the long haul. Among them you’ll find panniers, heated grips and a useful centre stand.

The Touring version of the 2014 Triumph Rocket comes with a series of special features that make it better suited for the long haul. Among them you’ll find a tall windscreen, saddlebags, a 5.9us Gallon fuel tank, a back rest for the rear passenger and a low seat height of only 730 mm. Needles to say, the riding position is relaxed and laid-back thanks to the large footboards, pulled back handlebars and the comfy seat.

The motorcycle is built around a 2.3 litre, three cylinder engine which is perfectly suited for the requirements of long travels. The engine needs to deal with a wet weight of 395 Kg and cranks out a maximum power of 106 PS at 6000 rpm and 203 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm.

The Triumph Trophy SE was especially designed to deliver first class touring performances but can also deal great with the twisty roads. The Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 is one of the most wanted motorcycles in its segment. This agile mechanical beast was designed with high performances in mind, therefore it boosts a 749,9cc, V90, four stroke, longitudinal 90° v twin, liquid cooled engine with four valves per cylinder and a ride-by-wire system. The engine cranks out a maximum power of 67.3 KW (92 HP) at 8750 Rpm and 8.4 Kgm (82 Nm) of torque at 4500 Rpm.

Since its inception, the Hero Impulse has been constantly upgraded. Over the years, this basic bike has evolved into a pretty practical and versatile machine that puts efficiency and low maintenance costs on top of its priorities list.

The Hero Impulse is powered by a 149.2 cc air cooled, 4-stroke single cylinder OHC engine which is brought to life by an electric starter. Once you start the engine it will reward you with a maximum power of 9.7 KW (13.2 Ps) at 7500 rpm and 13.4 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. This power is kept in leash by a five speed constant mesh transmission.

To be able to deal great with tough terrains the bike was fitted with Nitrox monoshock rear suspensions coupled with tough shock absorbers up front. It also features a pair of rugged 90/100 X 10 – 53 J tires.

Moto Morini has revamped its Ganrpasso 1200 model for 2014. The new model comes with a fresh Carbon look, new passenger handle grips, an integrated rack and a new plate holder.

At the heart of the motorcycle lies a potent V twin oversquare engine, which features one-piece central sump, mixed gear-chain drive and dual overhead camshaft. The unit is paired with a six speed transmission and delivers a maximum power of 118 hp at 8400 rpm and 103.6 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm.

The engine is housed by a high tensile tubular steel trellis frame which is paired with a Marzocchi Upside Down fork and a fully adjustable Ohlins shock absorber.

The stopping power is handled by a modern Brembo breaking system which includes 298 mm double-discs at the front and a rear 255 mm mono-disc.

The Ducati Multistrada 1200 is one of the most versatile motorcycles in Ducati’s lineup thanks to its ergonomic architecture and the four preset riding modes. The riding modes (Enduro, Urban, Sport, Touring) can be interchanged even while riding. Needles to say, you also get an electronic Ride-by-Wire (RbW) system, Ducati’s Traction Control system (DTC) and ABS brakes.

The motorcycle’s center piece is represented by an 1198.4 cc, L-twin cylinder, 4 valve per cylinder, Desmodromic, dual spark, liquid cooled unit. Start the engine and you’ll unleash an impressive amount of power - 150 hp to be more exact - and a peak torque of 124.5 Nm. All this power is sent to the ground by means of a six speed transmission.

The 2014 Ducati Multistrada 1200 uses a tubular steel trellis frame. The front wheel is located by a Marzocchi 50mm Fully Adjustable Usd Fork adjustable upside-down fork, while the rear wheel is located by a single sided swing arm.

It is also worthy of being mentioned that the bike weighs in at 224kg with a full tank of gas.
