Audi plans to expand its lineup in the near future in an attempt to strengthen its grip on the premium car realm. According to André Konsbruck, the director of Audi UK, in the future we could see a series of high-level cars based on the recently launched concepts , like the Audi Quattro and Nanuk .
While none of the two concept were officially confirmed for production, Konsbruck said that both of them have the production viability required to become reality. Also, he said that potential customers were invited to test and evaluate the two concepts, in an attempt to see "if there is a business case for them to be made."
"Every concept we show has production possibilities, and these cars are no different. I can see a future where we aim to deliver different, innovative premium cars that people aspire to own, such as these."
If the two concepts hit production, they will be offered as niche models, with a pretty high price, but they will "deliver on the brand image and build the desirability of the brand as a whole."

We know Christmas is still about one month away, but for those of you who want to have the gifts ready for the holiday, we have a very cool suggestion. This gift idea comes from Poland and we have to admit is one of the coolest yet.
We are talking about a special desk that features the front of a Lamborghini Murcielago . The desk developer says that it uses only original Italian pieces, but the fact we see no logo on the front of the car make us wonder if they are being honest or not.
All legitimacy aside, this orange desk could be the perfect gift for any car enthusiast out there, with, or without original parts. All you need is a total of $11,140, and the desk can be all yours. We’re wonder if this desk will help you finish your work as quickly as the Murcielago sprinted to 60 mph — about 3.4 seconds in its final production year.

Who knew a special-edition Volkswagen would be a popular car for aftermarket programs. Somehow, though, the Polo R WRC has managed to attract not just one tuner, but two.
A few days ago, we showed you a program that came from B&B . Today, it’s ABT Sportsline’s turn, and while not exactly as comprehensive as what B&B did, ABT Sportsline’s take on the Polo R WRC is no less impressive, especially in the way it was able to take advantage of the sports hatch’s already impressive setup and fine-tune it without completely going overboard.
A new set of 18-inch, DR alloy wheels are prominently added to the sports hatch while the interior gets a few noticeable upgrades as well.
ABT Sportsline badging was also added to the grille and rear, enhancing the appeal of the Polo R WRC by ensuring people know that a real tuner worked on this bad boy.
The tuner hasn’t announced any performance upgrades to the vehicle, but safe to say, the 290-horsepower output coming out of its 1.6-liter, TSI engine is enough to enjoy the aesthetic and performance spoils of the Polo R WRC.

It looks like BMW hit the jackpot with its new lineup of electric and hybrid vehicles. While we weren’t very sure about the success of the i3 — its looks being the main cause of concern — it appears that BMW has already received a total of 10,000 orders for it, with the first units already being delivered to customers in Germany last week.
Along with the i3, the new i8 supercar is also a great hit, but that’s no surprise here. While BMW did not reveal just how many units will be delivered in its first year of production, it did announce that all i8 units are sold out. So, if you planned to buy an i8, you will now have to wait another two years.
On the U.S. market, both models will go on sale in 2014, with the i3 starting at $42,275 and the i8 checking in at $135,925.

Next week we’ll have two major auto shows that most of you likely already know about: one in Los Angeles and one in Tokyo, Japan. There is, however, a smaller show that is coming up in China, and that it the 2013 Guangzhou Motor Show . Despite its relatively small size, Lexus has chosen this show to debut the updated Lexus CT 200h .
With just a few days before its official debut, which occurs on November 21st, Lexus has unveiled the first details and a few images of the revised hybrid hatchback.
According to Lexus, the2014 CT 200h will adopt the signature Lexus spindle grille, newly designed alloy wheels and a revised rear appearance with a "more horizontal structure."
Lexus didn’t give up any of the details on its powertrain, but we expect to see the same hybrid system, with the possibility of a few more horsepower and some fuel consumption improvements. This means you can expect to see a 1.8-liter gasoline-powered four-pot with a pair of electric motors that combine to put down 134 horsepower at least.
Updated 11/29/2013: Lexus announced prices for the 2014 CT 200h, which will go on sale in late January or early February 2014. Prices will start from the same $32,050 as the 2013 model, plus processing and handling fee of $910.

Brabus’ attendance at the 2013 Essen Motor Show will be highlighted by a new program for the Mercedes E63 AMG Wagon . So what if the car doesn’t look as sexy as sexy as other Mercs; when you have the kind of performance upgrade Brabus did to it, you won’t be sweating about the car’s lack of "aesthetic appeal".
Before we get to the performance boost, it’s important to point out that the program also comes with its share of new carbon-fiber body parts, including the front spoiler lip and a diffuser insert. A new sports exhaust system was also installed, this time coming with quad tailpipes. Similarly, new wheels are also part of the program, with customers being given the liberty to choose in sizes up to 20 inches.
Moving inside, the cabin of the E63 AMG Wagon comes with a number of customization options that customers can choose from, including picking their leather trim, Alcantara, aluminum shift paddles, among other things.
Finally, there’s the performance modification. Not content with just a 5.5-liter, V-8 twin-turbo engine, Brabus increased the displacement to a monstrous six liters. From there, the tuning firm installed custom turbos with bigger compressors and bespoke exhaust manifolds to feed the beast a healthy amount of oxygen.
With all these upgrades, the German tuner was able to increase the output of the wagon from 585 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, all the way up to 850 horsepower and 1,069 pound-feet of torque. The latter, though, will be electronically-limited to just 849 pound-feet of torque, to prevent the engine from twisting itself and the transmission right out of the wagon.
With these new performance figures, the E63 AMG Wagon is cable of hitting 62 mph in just 3.1 seconds to go with a top speed of 186 mph with regular tires and 217 mph with high-performance rubber.

Back in May, we reported about a tuned Subaru Impreza STi that lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in record time, becoming the fastest Impreza to lap the world-famous racetrack. The team behind the record-breaking car, Revolution Motorstore, built it with utmost attention to detail and total commitment, with an aim to set a new lap record for a Subaru Impreza.
The folks behind this awesome, record-setting project now plan to sell the Subaru Impreza "Project STi ". An advertisement was recently put up Revolution Motorstore official Facebook page. "Project STi" is now up for sale at £42,995 which is just over $70,000.
That’s a pretty steep price, sure, but keep in mind that this is no ordinary Impreza. The tuner went to great lengths in order to make it competitive. Major changes have been done to the interior and the exterior, including the removal of the rear doors. Not like the rear doors are needed anyways, as in place of the back seat is a custom-built half roll cage.
The tuner also replaced the stock 2.5-liter engine with a 2.0-liter, four-pot boxer engine from a JDM Impreza. Apart from the engine block itself, the rest of the parts have either been replaced or reworked for improved performance and durability. The net result is an engine that now puts out over 500 horsepower and upwards of 500 pound-feet of torque.
The suspension systems have been overhauled from ground up, so it can tackle any track you throw at it. Standard brakes would’ve never stood up to the punishment and hence had to be replaced with larger discs, new calipers, brakes lines, fluids, master cylinders, and more.
Here we are: Black Friday. After a day of giving thanks and stuffing our faces, we all rush out to the closest big box store it stand in line for hours, hoping to get that $100, 32-inch LED TV. Well, TechArt has something for you, if you happen to be shopping for a car nut.
This is the tuner’s 2014 wall calendar with its best body kits developed over the past year. Sure, it’s not a crazy-expensive or luxurious gift, but it is a great filler and would likely be the most-used gift over the course of the next 12 months.
The calendar is printed on high-quality 250 g/m2 art print paper and measures 50-by-70 cm (19.6 x 27.5 inches). Each picture is protected by a glossy protective varnish, that will prevent it from discoloration and fading.
The calendar is limited to only 1,500 units, so if you are interested you better hurry up. You can pick one up for €29.80 — about $40 — and shipping is not included. Deliveries will begin in early December.
