Taro Sekiguchi, the Japanese rider has suffered a broken pelvis and fractured two ribs at the Czech Grand Prix after a high-speed terrifying crash. He was catapulted into the air when he crashed into Marco Simoncelli’s Gilera motorcycle. Simoncelli crashed his bike in a corner and the bike slid into the middle of the track. Ducati Marlboro Team rider Casey Stoner put in a faultless display in front of 141,000 fans at Brno today, winning the Czech Grand Prix to extend his World Championship advantage to 60 points. Team-mate Loris Capirossi came in sixth after an entertaining tussle with several other riders. Casey Stoner, the current leader of the Championship, took the pole position ahead of the two Repsol Honda motorcycles. The Ducati Marlboro Team rider overtook the Honda motorcycle driven by Nicky Hayden with 0.280 seconds. Dani Pedrosa, Hayden’s team mate followed them closely finishing on the 3rd place. Kenan Sofuoglu (Hannspree Ten Kate Honda CBR600RR) extended his championship lead to an impressive 70 points after scoring a convincing start-to-finish victory in the 18-lap World Supersport Championship race at Brno.
