The Jerez de la Frontera circuit, the venue for a fantastic opening round win for Loris Capirossi in the MotoGP championship eight months ago, was also the scene for the final testing session of the year which concluded today.

Loris Capirossi and Casey Stoner were only able to manage a few laps today with the 800cc Ducati Desmosedici GP7.
After a couple of exits apiece late in the morning, when temperatures were suitable for the start of testing, a heavy rain shower forced the Ducati MotoGP Team riders into the pits. In the afternoon, despite the fact that the rain had stopped, the track surface was far too wet to allow testing to continue.

The Ducati MotoGP Team have reached an agreement with Casey Stoner to take part in the 2007 MotoGP World Championship, with an option for the following year.
