Early end to test for Stoner who flies back to Australia

Casey Stoner did not take part in the final day of testing at Jerez as a result of the crash yesterday afternoon in which he injured the ligaments in his left shoulder. The pain intensified during the night and Stoner, in agreement with the team, decided to return immediately to Australia for further medical checks and to begin treatment. Ducati: Final 2006 testing session concludes at Jerez

The Jerez de la Frontera circuit, the venue for a fantastic opening round win for Loris Capirossi in the MotoGP championship eight months ago, was also the scene for the final testing session of the year which concluded today. Good weather conditions allowed the Ducati Marlboro Team and the Test Team to complete the scheduled work load. Ducati: Bad weather hits first day of testing at Jerez

Loris Capirossi and Casey Stoner were only able to manage a few laps today with the 800cc Ducati Desmosedici GP7. After a couple of exits apiece late in the morning, when temperatures were suitable for the start of testing, a heavy rain shower forced the Ducati MotoGP Team riders into the pits. They were three intense days for the Aprilia riders who were present at the last tests of the year at Jerez de la Frontera. First test for the Red Bull KTM teams 2007 in Jerez

The newly formed Red Bull KTM Team has met in Jerez/Spain for three days of testing ahead of the coming season. Hiroshi Aoyama and Mika Kallio put in very fast lap times with the new KTM 250 FPR for the 2007 season.
