Felipe Massa did it again! After he took the pole position, the Brazilian driver won the Turkish Grand Prix repeating in this way the performance from last year when he won his first Formula 1 race. Massa was followed by his team mate, Kimi Raikkonen, who took the 2nd place.
Fernando Alonso finished the race on the 3rd place. Lewis Hamilton had a very bad day here at Istanbul Park.After he lead the race Hamilton’s front tyre puncture dropped him on the 5th place.Bmw Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld took advantage of Hamilton’s bad luck and finished on the 4th place.
Renault’s driver, Heikki Kovalainen finished on the 6th place being followed closely by Williams driver, Nico Rosberg. Rosberg took the final points of the race in front of Bmw Sauber’s Robert Kubica.
Giancarlo Fisichella took the 9th place while Reb Bull’s driver, David Coulthard closed the top ten. Nico Rosberg’s team mate, Alexander Wurz, finished on the 11th position with his Williams monopost. Behind him was Toyota’s driver, Ralf Schumacher.
Schumacher overtook Honda’s driver, Jenson Button who finished on the 13 th position. Anthony Davidson made his best here at the Turkish Grand Prix and took his Super Aguri’s monopost on the 14th position.
After a brilliant start Vitantonio Liuzzi finished the race for his Scuderia Torro Rosso on the 15th place while his team mate Sebastian Vettel finished the race on the 19th position in front of the Spyker cars.
Rubens Barrichello couldn’t do too much in this Grand Prix.He finished the race on the 17th position and after he was overtaken by Jarno Trulli, who dropped from 9th to 21st position after a spin in lap one .Takuma Sato placed his Super Aguri monopost on the 18th position, overtaking Sebastian Vettel and his Toro Rosso monopost.
Last places were as usual obtained by the Spyker cars.Sakon Yamamoto finished the race in front of his team mate Adrian Sutil.
