The Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan is favourite to take Christijan Alber’s place at Spyker F1 team. Also the Wiliams test driver Christian Klien is considered to replace Albers, but the first option remains Karthikeyan.Klien is currently Honda’s test driver after driving 3 seasons at the Red Bull team and Jaguar.
Colin Kolles said that Karthikeyan, who raced for him at Jordan in 2005 and now is the second Williams test drivers, is his first choice on his list of options.
The 30 years old Indian driver said that he had a talk with Spyker’s boss at Silverstone and told him that he will be delighted to race for the his team but underlined the fact that he enjoys his job at Williams.
Karthikeyan’s manager, Mr. Mark Perkins said that the Dutch team is expecting Narain to do a better job than Albers and that he expects a decision of his client in the next few days.
