As we said yesterday in a news report, the Dutch team had to give an answer today about a possible collaboration between Markus Winkelhock and Spyker. Spyker did not hesitate to make the announce and they said that Markus Winkelhock will debut in the Formula 1 championship driving a Dutch monopost at Nurburgring.
Markus will occupy the vacant seat left by Christijan Albers after some contractual difficulties. The driver said that this represents a dream come true and that he is phisically and mentally prepared to face the F1 difficulties behind a Spyker monopost.
Colin Kolles said in a press conference that he is pleased to work with Markus but added the fact that the driver has to show his skills in the race because it’s very much a one-off race at the moment.
It will be interesting to see Winkelhock ’s debut because as we know many drivers came after Albers left the team, but they had o success. Will Winkelhock be the missing puzzle at the Dutch team? Soon we will find out the answer!
