Ralf Schumacher is still looking for a team that would let him drive in the next Formula One season. The former Toyota driver would really appreciate a contract offer from McLaren, that after Fernando Alonso’s departure hasn’t yet decided who will be Hamilton team mate for the 2008 season.
Ralf declared about the free driver position at McLaren: “Every driver out there in the market would love to sit in their super car.”

Ralf Schumacher could be a solution for McLaren, especially now when the McLaren’s officials have received some disappointed news from the drivers they were hoping to sign for the next season. Their options were: Nico Rosberg from Williams – Williams have told McLaren that he is not going anywhere - Heikki Kovaleinen from Renault – Renault could retain him for another season – and Adrian Sutil from Spyker – he could receive a contract from the new Formula One team Force India.
Ralf hopes that McLaren would contact him for negotiating a contract, and after that he would do everything in his power to be the right man to partner Lewis Hamilton at McLaren.
