The German driver Sebastian Vettel will replace the American Scott Speed from Scuderia Torro Rosso for the remaining Grands Prix in the 2007 season. Sebastian Vettel can practice his passion of driving now because he was only a test driver at Bmw Sauber team.
Scott Speed leaving from the team was expected after his recent quarrel with team manager Franz Tost started on Sunday after the European Grand Prix at Nurburgring.
“Having joined the Red Bull Junior Team in his early karting years at the age of 12 and been guided by us and BMW through his Formula BMW and Formula Three career, we now welcome Sebastian back to the Red Bull family,” said the official from Toro Rosso.
Bmw Sauber official said to the press that Vettel did some good work for them. The team sponsored and coached Sebastian but that will not stand in his way of leaving the team. The official said that Bmw Sauber wants to promote new talents and to place obstacles in Sebastian’s career path would go against their rules.
