After dominating the entire race in the Motorola Indy 300 at Infineon Raceway bad luck came for Dario Franchitti. After a collision with his team mate Marco Andretti with only 11 laps remaining, Franchitti was overtaken by the rival Scott Dixon who won the race. With this victory Dixon took the lead of the championship with just two races remaining in the 2007 IndyCar Series.
