Ducati MotoGP team complete first day of tests at Le Mans

The Ducati MotoGP Team have concluded day one of testing at Le Mans today in cool and cloudy conditions. Thankfully the weather did not interrupt the riders’ programme and both Casey Stoner and Marco Melandri were able to work on various aspects of the set-up of their GP8 machines, as well as trying a variety of new Bridgestone tyres. Magic moments: departure of Le Mans ’08

We have the joy of sharing with you this absolutely beautiful moment of pure racing excitement which takes place at the beginning of the mythical race of Le Mans.

It is wonderful how the tradition remains in the organizers hearts and pilots become one with their motorcycles in the way it is done by decades. Motorcycles are being held in the riding position on one side and pilots wait for the “GO” sound on the other side while the rest is simply euphoria.

The gesture is as simple and beautiful as it is rich in history and charm. Enjoy the video below and give a big round of applause for the beginning of the long race.

BMW Motorrad returns for the LE MANS CLASSIC
