Casey Stoner qualified in the pole position for the German Grand Prix. The leader of the championship set a time of 1:22.384 with his Marlboro Ducati.
Dani Pedros, finished the qualifying session on the second place with his Repsol Honda after he overtook Marco Melandri on his Honda Gresini.

Randy de Puniet finished on the 4th place with his Kawasaki, but ended disastrously the session when he crashed against the barriers after a run through a gravel trap.
John Hokins qualified his Rizla Suzuki on the 5th place,while "The doctor" Valentino Rossi was 0.044 seconds slower , finishing on 6th place.

The Italian Loris Capirossi placed his Ducati motorcycle behind Valentino Rossi, finishing on the 7th place.Alex Barros qualified on 8th place.He was followed closely by the Yamaha Tech 3 motorcycle driven by Sylvain Guintoli.
The top ten was closed by Shinya Nakano with his with his Konica Minolta Honda.Nicky Hayden had a difficult session which saw him qualifying his Repsol Honda in only 14th spot, over seven tenths behind the pole position obtained by Stoner.
