NASCAR’s Nextel Cup race at Michigan, the 3M Performance 400 will begin Monday at noon Eastern Time after the scheduled Sunday race was rained out. From Saturday evening through Sunday, Southern Michigan experienced constant rain. There was a brief lull that lured out the jet dryers, but they were chased away by a downpour that resumed the day of rain.

Tony Stewart almost beat himself at the Watkins Glen NASCAR Nextel Cup road race on Sunday, but not quite. Leading, ahead of Jeff Gordon, with about 50 laps to go, Stewart wheel-hoped his Home Depot Chevrolet entering turn 1 and spun off the course. By the time he’d rejoined the field, he was 19th.
He won the race.
He got lucky. After working his way through the field, he was second to Gordon with two laps remaining.
And then Gordon spun going into turn 1.

The Colombian driver Juan Pablo Montoya will compete at his final Busch Series race at Watkins Glen International due to the fact that his team wants to focus on the Nextel Cup for the rest of the season.Montoya competed so far 16 races of the 22 of the Busch Series.
