For only the second time since 1997, a NASCAR Cup race has been rained out on two consecutive days. The 3M Performance 400 at Michigan International Speedway, which had been rained out on Sunday was again rained out on Monday.
It is now scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21st.
There is cause for optimism because the weather forecast for Brooklyn, Michigan – where MIS is located – calls for much less rain activity tomorrow. NASCAR officials previously said that they would, if necessary, run the race as late as Wednesday to avoid rescheduling it.
