The Canadian driver, Jacques Villeneuve, completed on Monday his first day of Nascar testing at Chicagoland Speedway, for the Bill Davis Racing team.
The ex-champion in the Formula 1 drove a black Toyota Tundra with the No. 27, a number his father used to used in his glory days when he was competing for the Italian team Ferrrari. Villeneuve also used this number in the Indy 500 championship. At the tests the Canadian received some help from the leader of the Truck Series, Mike Skinner.
The Canadian had his first chance yesterday to work wit his new team and with the team’s new chief Richard "Slugger" Labbe who used to be crew chief at No. 14 Ginn Racing car of Sterling Marlin.
Villeneuve did not reveal the time he obtained on the tests but we will see easily if e did well or not. How? Well, the tests will end on Tuesday and then Bill Davis, the owner of the Bill Davis Racing team will decide if he keeps Jacques driving for his team or he will set him free to try his luck in the Craftsman Truck Series.
