The American pilot, Scott Speed may be coming to the Team Red Bull and its Toyotas in the Nascar, after he was released by Scuderia Torro Rosso, the Red Bull-sponsored team, on July 31. Scott’s leaving from the team was expected after his recent quarrel with team manager Franz Tost started after the European Grand Prix at Nurburgring. He was dropped nine days later, but Tost denied the altercation had anything to do with the decision.
Tost’s decision seemed to be a good one because Speed did not score any point in almost two years in the F1 championship. Now it looks that Red Bull owner, Mr. Dietrich Mateschitz had some nice things to speak about the American driver in his recent interview.Mateschitz showed his interest in bringing the driver to the Nascar championship. It remains a mistery where will he compete: will it be Nextel Cup, Busch or Trucks?
“I have had a great meeting with (Mateschitz), who became VERY excited about the possibility of my racing back in the good ol’ USA. We will see where it leads.” said Speed.
