7th victory for Audi at the 24 Hours of Le Mans(2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007). Due to the strong rainfall that flooded the circuit in the last hour of the race, the Race Directors, led by Daniel Poissenot, decided to neutralize the race and deployed the safety cars for 50 minutes. Peugeot has reached their first goal in qualifying, at least temporarily, because teams can still improve their position if the weather stays dry. But if the weather doesn’t cooperate, the 3:26.344 laid down by the Team Peugeot Total 908 HDi FAP at the end of this first session will give them the pole
