Timo Scheider gets the pole position at Zandvoort

Timo Scheider got his first pole position in the DTM Championship after Audi dominated the qualifying session at Zandvoort.He obtained the result when there were only 10 remaining from the session.Audi obtained again the top five positions in on the grid for the second race running.

Scheider was followed closely by Mattias Ekstrom who will start the race from the second place.On the 3rd place finished Martin Tomczyk due to the little "accident" with Ekstrom.Tomczyk overtook the 2006 Audi A4 driven by Alexandre Premat,who will start on the 4th place.Tom Kristensen and his Audi closed the top 5.

Spengler was the fastest Mercedes-Benz driver but he obtained only the 6th place, the same place like in the Mugello race.His teammate Mika Hakkinen obtained only the 13th place.Spengler was followed by Paul di Resta being the only Mercedes to join him in the final session.

Mike Rockenfeller placed his Audi on the 8th place overtaking the Mercedes-Benz driven by Gary Paffett.The top 10 was closed by Lucas Luhr with his Audi A4.

If we look at the results we would think that the race from tomorrow will definetely be won by Audi, but thing again!Last time when Audi was on top 5 in the qualifying session lost the race in front of Mika Hakkinen and his Mercedes-Benz...So we shall see tomorrow an interesting race here at Zandvoort.
