As part of its build-up to the future Rally of Finland (between 2nd and 5th of August) Citroen Sport team took the decision to enter a C4 WRC car for Dani Sordo and Marc Marti into the O.K Auto Ralli. The rally was extremely instructive for the team but only in the first part because in the second they were forced to retire the cause beeing a technical problem.

Fia announced that the tyre contract for the Junior Rally Championship went to the Italians from Pirelli instead of the French tyre supplier Michelin .
This decision comes after the contract obtained by the italians to supply all four-wheel drive cars competing in the WRC from 2008 .The only teams who will have the freedom in choosing the tyres will be only the private teams who driver two-wheel drive cars.

Abu Dhabi has joined forces with BP-Ford World Rally Team to bring a new look and a third official Focus RS World Rally Car to the team’s FIA World Rally Championship campaign.
Khalid AlQassimi, and the British co-driver Nicky Beech, will contest Neste Oil Rally Finland in August in the new livery, alongside Ford stars Marcus Gronholm and Mikko Hirvonen.
