Michelin no longer in WRC

Fia announced that the tyre contract for the Junior Rally Championship went to the Italians from Pirelli instead of the French tyre supplier Michelin . This decision comes after the contract obtained by the italians to supply all four-wheel drive cars competing in the WRC from 2008 .The only teams who will have the freedom in choosing the tyres will be only the private teams who driver two-wheel drive cars. Abu Dhabi hopes to host WRC event

Abu Dhabi has joined forces with BP-Ford World Rally Team to bring a new look and a third official Focus RS World Rally Car to the team’s FIA World Rally Championship campaign. Khalid AlQassimi, and the British co-driver Nicky Beech, will contest Neste Oil Rally Finland in August in the new livery, alongside Ford stars Marcus Gronholm and Mikko Hirvonen.
