While the development of charging stations and wireless charging continues on a productive path, some people choose to charge their vehicles in a much more practical - and dedicated - fashion. We received a tip on an owner of a Fisker Karma in Paris that goes to great lengths - literally - to charge his hybrid sedan.

In the 16th District of Paris in "Place d’iena," where homes sell for about $3 million, a reader was able to take a picture of this Fisker Karma with its extension cord snaked out of its window. The extension cord was then stretched up to the owner’s window and undoubtedly plugged in to charge. As if that’s not ballsy enough in a neighborhood where thieves probably salivate at the opportunity of someone slipping up in their defenses, the owner left the car there overnight! This guy must really want to make sure his car is charged before going to work in the morning.

As a refresher, the Fisker Karma is a plug-in hybrid that uses a lithium-ion battery pack to power two 200+ hp electric motors for about 50 miles. Once the juice runs out of the batteries, a GM-sourced 2.0-liter gas engine producing 260 hp generates the electricity needed to power the sedan. Fisker says the Karma makes the 0 to 60 mph sprint in less than 6 seconds and can hit a top speed of more than 125 mph.

During September, most people in the automotive world are focused on the Frankfurt Motor Show and the many tasty treats ready to hit the floor, but in Bowling Green, Kentucky their focus was the induction of former Corvette Racing Driver, Ron Fellows, into the Corvette Hall of Fame. The National Corvette Museum’s 17th Annual Labor Day celebration took place over the 2011 Labor Day weekend and when Ron Fellows showed up for his induction ceremony, a bright red 2012 Corvette Z06 "Spring Mountain Special Edition" was there waiting for him.

The Z06 "Spring Mountain Special Edition" features many of the options available on the 2012 model, including the full body, white racing stripes and the carbon fiber hood. Other Corvette model elements were also borrowed including the Centennial Edition’s black wheels with the red stripe and seats with the special “100 Years” embroidery; and the custom Grand Sport hash marks reminiscent of the 2007 Ron Fellows Z06 which also had the Canadian Maple Leaf seen on this model.

The special edition was further customized for the Hall-of-Famer with a reworked carbon graphic displaying Ron Ron ’s Corvette Racing Number 3 and the words "Hall of Fame," as well as graphics from Mosport Raceway - a Canadian Track that Fellows co-owns - and the Ron Fellows Performance driving school.

Considering its name - SEMA/Spring Mountain Special Edition - we fully expect this special edition to show up at the 2011 SEMA Auto Show in November, but the vehicle may also be used at the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School at Spring Mountain Raceway outside of Las Vegas.

UPDATE 10/27/2011: Chevrolet has finally unveiled the official details on the Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows ‘Hall of Fame’ Tribute - or Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows SEMA Edition as it was first announced. "This Torch Red show car honors Fellows’ service behind the wheel, using accessories offered from Chevrolet matched with custom graphics. It’s a fitting salute to one of the fastest men ever to drive a Corvette." Hit the jump for the full list of highlights.

You are taking a look at the latest spyshots available of the Peugeot Peugeot 308. This car is supposed to go on sale in late 2007. But it seems this full option model escaped from the Peugeot factory for a night trip in Paris. Of course our local spy was there to shoot the beast. Look at that, the car is beautiful, inside out. Even thought this model is the pimp out fully loaded. We are confident that new Peugeot 308 Peugeot 308 base model will make a killing against the Golf and Audi A3. Only detail that I (...)

Totally new from the ground up, Honda’s dynamic CBR600RR launches a blistering assault on road and track with a breathtaking new, aerodynamically designed race-ready form; a smaller, lighter and more powerful new 600cc Dual Sequential Fuel Injected inline-4 engine; a slimmer and lighter weight new Fine Die-Cast aluminum frame; and an impressive list of high-performance features which all come together to herald the arrival of the electrifying new champion of the mid-displacement Super Sports class.

When you say “Ninja” you think about power, style and performance. When you say “Kawasaki Ninja” you think of one of the most beautiful and powerful motorcycles in the world, and also one of the best selling in the Kawasaki line-up. Oriented toward serious sport riding and track performance, the ZX-6R is the most aerodynamic Ninja ever. About its performance there was rarely a magazine comparison test completed among middle-weight sportbikes that doesn’t sing the praises of Ninja ZX-6R.

The YZF R6 isn’t a race replica; it’s a racer, developed at racetracks, honed to perfection. For 2006, the R6 is light, powerful and bristling with knowledge gained from years of racing. As a result is one of the most advanced motorcycles ever built by Yamaha. Is also the first production motorcycle with a fly-by-wire throttle system-for flawless response under all conditions.

The Ducati 999 is the most powerful and advanced twin cylinder engine motorcycle to come out of the Borgo panigale factory. The Ducati 999, along with Ducati 749, symbolize Ducati’s long, glorious history and its domination of the World Superbike Championship that has lasted more than a decade. constant and innovative development in both technology and design have resulted in a one-in-a-million motorcycle, perfect for sports enthusiasts.

When we talk about Italian sports bike we think about power, speed and beauty. But also a lot of “ifs” and “buts” cross our mind when we compare them to the Japanese sports bike, for example Suzuki Suzuki or Honda models. If back in the ‘70s there was nothing on the road to compare with the Ducati 750SS, in the ‘90s the Italian sports back were long behind the Japanese motorcycle. But this was about to change when in 1997 MV Agusta launched the F4S at the Milan show.

You know what you’re looking for in a standard V-twin machine: light and agile handling, along with willing-and-able engine performance. And that’s what the Suzuki SV650 delivers - in spades.
