Introduced in 2007 the 365 vocational model completes the company’s lineup of medium duty applications for refuse and construction industries. The truck is highly versatile and is available with two axle configurations - set forward and set back. The set-back front axle configurations are available with FEPTO and all set-forward front axle configurations are available with REPTO for versatility with job specific applications. The Peterbilt 365 is available with both Day and Sleeper cab configuration.

Besides the different axle and cab configurations, the truck can be also ordered with a wide variety of other different heavy duty components for increased payloads and optimized weight distribution.

The truck is priced around $140.000 and features a conventional cab configuration. Under the hood the Peterbilt 365 is equipped with a wide range of engine options including Paccar MX, Cummins ISL-G, Cummins ISX and Cummins ISL9 units with maximum outputs between 320 and 480 hp.

The Coronado is Freightliner’s traditional on-highway truck and features an aerodynamic design, a spacious cab and a wide range of powerful engines. In the last years, the truck has been continuously improved as Freightliner added a host of advanced technologies and a wide range of enhancements to make it able to go head to head with success against the other trucks in the segment.

The Freightliner Coronado is suited for a wide area of applications such as local or single-trailer distributions or major B-double line haul jobs. The engines available for Freightliner’s rig are either the Detroit Diesel DD15 or Cummins ISX units with power options ranging from 485-600 hp.

The Freightliner Coronado is priced around $120.000 and is available in three cab versions (Day, Extended and Sleeper) with four heights configurations.

Peterbilt presented its new 579 long haul truck at Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville. The truck features a host of innovations and new technologies which make it more efficient and practical. The company says that this is the best truck Peterbilt has ever built. The new Peterbilt 579 is available with Single and Sleeper cabs and will start to roll off the assembling line in May 2012.

Talking about the new truck Bill Kozek, Peterbilt General Manager and PACCAR Vice President said: “The all-new 579 goes beyond meeting a market demand for an exceptional vehicle that satisfies both the bottom-line and operator expectations. At the 2012 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kenworth presented the new T680 highway truck which is the most aerodynamic vehicle built by the company. The new Kenworth T680 puts accent on efficiency, performance and comfort and is fitted with a bunch of innovative features.

The 2.1 meters T680 Cab was designed to fills the blank between the 1.9-meter T660 cab and the 2.3 T700 cab models. The truck is being aimed at linehaul, pickup and delivery, and regional freight operators and is available with either single- or sleeper-cab configuration. At the heart of the truck sits the 12.9L Paccar MX engine, while the Cummins ISX15 engine is also available as an option. The new Kenworth T-680, will go into production on May 21.

The Cascadia is the newest truck developed by Freightliner and features a host of new technologies which make it better suited for the long haul operations. The main advantage of the Freightliner is its small weight, achieved thanks to the heavy use of lightweight aluminum parts for the cabin. The rig also incorporates a new, common Electric/Electronic Architecture, and a host of features and systems designed to be easily accessible, repairable, and replaceable. However, despite all these features many truckers have complained about the reliability of its electronic systems such as cruise controls, lights, wiper or others and the Freightliner trucks have hard times convincing drivers about its reliability.

Apart from those issues however, the truck is fitted with strong and efficient engines and it is available with a choice of three cab configurations namely the Day Cab, Raised Roof and XT.

Few truck manufacturers can compete against Scania and its biggest rivals usually come only from Mercedes or Volvo Volvo . The truck is comes with a wide range of reliable engines and a versatile chassis that can be modified to cope with a broad range of missions such as distribution for refrigerated or frozen-goods, refuse handling, light construction duties and various forms of tanker and bulk-goods transportation.

The Volvo FE is available in both rigid and tractor versions and in 4x2, 6x2 and 6x4 axle configurations. You can also choose between four cabs naming the low cab, day cab, comfort cab and sleeper cab. The truck competes against models like the DAF LF, MAN TGL, or Iveco Eurocargo.

The Volvo FM was developed for regional transports and it was completely redesigned in 2010 when it received a few exterior changes, a fresh engine lineup and a host of new interior features. Over the years Volvo has managed to gain a good reputation thanks to its reliability and the strong build quality, but the new FM moves this heritage even further with a lot of useful improvements and good fuel efficiency.

The FM is offer six cab models naming the Day Cab, Sleeper Cab, Low Sleeper Cab, Globetrotter, Globetrotter LXL and Fire engine Crew Cab. The truck’s versatility is also represented by the wide range of axle configurations - 4x2, 6x2, 6x4, 4x4, 6x6, 8x2, 8x4 – available for both rigid and tractor versions.

The TGM is available with tonnages between 13 and 26 t while the engine outputs range from 240 to 326 HP. The truck was design to deal with tasks in local or long-distance traffic as well as on the building site.

The TGM shares a lot of elements with the TGL model, but has a more purposeful character and is equipped with stronger engines. The TGM is available in four cab configurations including C, L, LX and Crew cab versions. There is no tractor version available and the truck comes only in rigid and tipper shapes with 4x2, 4x4.6x2 and 6x4 axles.
